Loved them. Really dressed up my bedroom.

I bought a total of 11 Amerelle English Garden wall plates online, from 3 different stores, in 6 different configurations for our newly remodeled kitchen. The quality, color (nickel), and design are perfect. They arrived packaged-new, in a timely manner and with all the necessary screws.

I enjoy looking at my new wall plates. The bronze color looks so good against my soft yellow walls.

I recently purchased around 20 of these in various covers, upon installing all of the screws are 2-3 threads too short and you cannot fasten to the electrical outlet, the switch plate covers, phone jack covers and toggle switch covers screws are all too short. I compared the length of Amerelle's screws to the ones I had prior and can visibly see that they are 2-3 threads shorter which created several problems. I had to use the old screws which were silver, then purchase oil rubbed bronze paint to paint the screw heads to match the covers. I would have returned them however I chose not to. Hopefully Amerelle will read this review and make the screws longer so that other people do not have to encounter this same problem and extra unnecessary expense. I would have given them a 5 star review if the screws had been the correct length.

I have installed about 20 of these so I am committed at this point. They have a classy look, but this is undermined in the end by chewed up screws. About 95% of the screws would not thread correctly no matter how delicately they were started. They start off straight, then bind, and then get chewed up because they are soft and low quality. If the manufacturer is reading this, please re-think the screws, even if you have to charge 50 cents more.

Upon receipt of 3 wall plates they all had noticeable chips in the finish. Will be returning to store.
