The mattress was simple to unpack and inflate, especially for the mechanically inclined. It also inflated quickly; I've been told some can take a long time to fill. It does inflate to 17 inches, and looks good on our platform frame. We just unpacked it, so don't know how long it will hold the air. With it just installed for two weeks, we are pleased.
