This wire was perfect for replacing my thermostat wiring.

The spools leafs aren't extended out enough the wire keeps coming unspooled.

I just put it in haven't hooked up to anything yet

This is good stuff. The diameter is a bit big but it's because of the 18GA wire. Used it to run new thermostat wiring due to needing a Common wire for smart thermostats.

A quality sheath covers 18ga wires enclosed in a good insulator material. I ran about 25 ft through one floor and the wire held up to being fished through the hole and wall. Good stuff.

Wire is not 18 gauge. It's a bit smaller

Worked great installing new Google Nest thermostat. I needed the common wire for it to work, so I neew 5 wires.

Purchased this to upgrade the existing 4 conductors thermostat wire to 5 conductors for the addition of the common wire. They're 18 gauge solid wires, prefect for thermostat to/from the HVAC system. The wires are also standard HVAC color code (e.g. R, G, Y, W, B) so all the terminals matches correctly.

Used on a project to upgrade to a WiFi thermostat which requires extra conductors that were not needed on the original heat only thermostat. Works wel.

This is a regular, good quality wire. I would have preferred if it had came on a reel.
