The low profile lights are the best when you have short ceilings or small spaces. The Commercial Electric 7 in. Weathered Gray Wood 3-CCT LED Round Flush Mount, Low Profile Ceiling Light (2-Pack) are great for closets or accent lighting. We have low profile lights similar to these in our hallways and closets. They are simply to install and easy to maintain. I prefer the 5000k color spectrum. With most lights coming with pre installed LEDs, having the option to change the color spectrum is awesome. We have these all over the house!

Hard to believe I've been in this house for 30 years and still have a couple of "builders fixtures" left to replace. These got installed in a side-door entrance hallway and a laundry room. If your existing electrical box and wiring were installed decently (mine were not :( ) this would be the simplest installation - wire in the plug adapter, screw in the recessed base plate, plug it, twist it until it clicks, and you're done. Selectable 3000/4000/5000K color temperature (roughly 'soft white' through 'daylight'). If I'm nitpicking a little, I'd improve it by adding a 3-wire plug and a rubber installation gasket. But really, no complaints.

We have an unfinished upstairs storage area which will I will, someday, get around to turning into finished living space. It's a pretty good sized "L" shaped space, and was lit by a single incandescent bulb. This pair of very bright, low profile LED fixtures us the perfect solution for lighting it up both now and when (OK, if) I ever get the rest of that space finished. Installation is easy - the fixtures are very lightweight. Attach the included bracket to the ceiling box, then the fixture will hang from that (see photos) so you have both hands free while you connect the wires. When the electrical connections are complete, the fixture swings up and attaches to the other end of the bracket with a thumbscrew. Then you twist the trim ring on, and it's done. Note that "adjustable color" refers to different temperatures of white light ranging from warm to daylight - not actual colors - and can be changed with a switch accessible by removing the trim ring. Each fixture delivers the equivavlent of 150 watts, so you may want to consider adding a dimmer switch. The photos show the installation process, although I only got one of them installed. I forgot there was no ceiling box for the second fixture, so I'll be heading back to Home Depot to pick one up.

These lights go up so easy. The mounts have a built in hanger so you don't have to hold the light to connect the wires. Bought 2 more because they are so east to install. You can choose the brightness level as well.

these small 7 inch LCD flush mount low profile 3 brightness fixtures . you can use then on a normal 4 inch square ceiling light box fixture or e-26 or retro to a 5 inch or 6 inch recessed light fixture. there so many possible ways to install them . the hardware included for these installs , these Commercial Electric 7 in. Matte Black will add style as well functionality to any room you decide to install them in. (just not designed for wet area's) they come with a 5 year warranty.

This is a great two pack large LED fixture. Shipped right to my driveway. Great mounting technique also. My experience mounting these larger fixtures seems like you need extra hands but not this fixture. The bracket mounts and the fixture hooks and swings up. Perfect to allow for making the electric connection. I like this fixture and highly recommend it.

A breeze to install, twenty minutes or so. These lights are very thin which makes them perfect for low ceilings such as those found in hallways, closets or work areas, etc. At approximately a seven inch diameter they will fit pretty much anywhere. There's a manual setting for color/temperature of the light (soft yellow to bright white daylight). At roughly 800 lumens they are very bright. These are a perfect replacement for the traditional contractor globe light found in hallways and closets. Very satisfied.

I installed both of these lights in a kitchen to replace two older glass dome-style lights that were bug-catchers and had limited light output. These new lights make the kitchen much brighter. The switch to change the color is easily accessed with a small rotation of the outer metal frame. I set the color to "daylight" because I wanted white light to clearly show colors when preparing meals. However, other colors may be selected such as the warm white that we grew accustomed to with old fashioned incandescent bulbs. Note that no bulbs are required -- this light is fully integrated with the illuminating LEDS. That integration also means that I will not be taking down glass covers to clean out errant bugs that die to be seen as shadows in the old (now replaced) lights. Installation was a breeze because this product's design was well thought out and well executed. The metal frame is nice and sturdy and easily mounts with two screws (all parts are included). After the metal frame is installed the light is hung from one side of the frame to hold the light in place while wires are connected. This approach holds the light securely in the proper position for wiring. The wires from the light are plenty long enough for easy wiring. Another nice feature is the recess in the top of the light is very large, making it easy to tuck wires and connectors in place without trying to jam things up into a box. This feature was great for me because one light needed to be installed very flush to the ceiling. This is a great product, I could not be more delighted with it. One final note, the description says that the lights works with dimmers so my decision to set the light to daylight works when bright light is wanted and I plan to install at least one dimmer to subdue the light at the end or ends of the kitchen when that is desired.

When I look at products at Home Depot or any other place, I look at many different factors, including whether or not they are convenient or save you any time or money. This uses a new technology called edgelit. There is something like that in high end TVs. They arrange the LED in a manner so you get better light. First thing I noticed when I hooked it up, the small fixture provides a lot of light, very very good light. Three light levels, 3000, 4000 and 5000 are controlled on the back by a switch. Three different mounting options. The fixture is a tad over 1.3” thick with a matte black circle and a white lens. The top is flat. I find the basic look very striking. It feels very high quality. Very impressed with the light's effectiveness of the integrated LEDs, I have installed these two over my work bench. The area has a 7ft ceiling and wow, is all I can say! I think Home Depot makes their own owners manuals now, this one is very good. A good size box has all the mounting hardware inside, on label you will need nothing else to install. An adapter is included in case your light can uses the E26 base. I like the newer fixtures so easy to install. Dimmable. UL certified. Excellent lights

The commercial electric 15" oil rubbed bronze twin pack light fixtures, are very nice and quick easy installation. The fixtures come with everything need for installation including the wire nuts. The fixtures feature a unbreakable lens cover over adjustable light temperature color led light bulbs, so you could just the right tone or color if light you are looking for. Very easy to install even for a novice diyer

I don't often write reviews on products unless they are really bad, or, as in this case, really good. I picked this up without doing any research since I had two lights I wanted to replace, and this had a great price. Generally that means average quality at best, so I was pleasantly surprised at how well-made and well-designed these are. My favorite feature is the built-in suspension hinge on one side of the fixture, which made this the easiest light installation I've ever done. Great product!

These were simple to install and the amount of light they put out is great.

This low profile easy to install worked perfectly in my rental apartment's basement bedroom. The assembly bracket screwed directly onto the wiring box, the swing hinge saved me hassle, and the light's performance brilliant. I'll install another.

Besides being fairly priced, four items make these fixtures a good choice: 1. The external switch (accessible after installation by removing the trim ring) for changing the color temperature of the light to suit the room. 2. The hooked end on the mounting bar to support the light fixture while you complete the wiring. No more contortionist moves to support the fixture while trying to twist on wire nuts. 3. The easy on/off installation of the trim ring. Just a quarter turn and it is frictionally held in place. 4. Most importantly, these are BRIGHT! Important for those of us celebrating birthdays with anything over a 4 in the tens column.

These are nice lights that look good and have a low profile and give out plenty of light. They also have a nice connection feature where you can hang the light on a hook while you're connecting the wiring. They are pricey though.

Slim low profile design. Simple installation with basic electrical knowledge. Replacement for fluorescent fixtures that are getting difficult to find replacement bulbs. Three different brightness settings is a great feature!

Purchased these to replace some original builder grade fixtures in my hallway and basement landing. They are wonderful! I was able to install them myself in very little time and the light they put out is just what we needed. I highly recommend them!!

Regardless of what the instructions or the box so clearly advertise there is no switch to change the light temperature. I even disassembled fully and notta. Looks like the manufacturer is gaming the the seller improperly. Will be returning

I installed 2 lights in my family room /tv room and installed a dimmer switch. There is a 3 position switch on the side to flip between the 3 different color tones. Great for learning what light tone works best. Get a dimmer switch with these lights. (Mood lighting) They are great lights!

I ordered five for my small rental apartment in NYC (about 700 sq ft). I originally thought that these lights are too big. After my husband installed all five of them, I am more than happy. They provide good amount of light for the kitchen, dining area, bedroom and hallway. They look contemporary and not overwhelming. It took my husband about 15 minutes to install each.

This unit requires the junction box to be left open - it’s against electrical and fire code. I purchased the 2 pack of this product and during the install of the second bezel, one of the 3 retaining clip mounts came off the bezel ring

So i do alot of woodworking and have two regular like 1.50 typical 60w lightfixtures. I usually use my husky 10,000 lumen tripod lights when finishing. These littletally only took seconds to install so plus on that. Brightness of them compared to the old lights on soft white almost the same. Daylight is brighter for sure. For $75 for the pair i think they are worth it. I still will buy 19” ones and put these in my house somewhere. I need alot brighter for my garage. They are modern looking. I wouldve put some before duing aftwr but i can only post one picture kinda lame. I wont be reviewing on hd anymore.

Remodeling my century old kitchen. We had the cheaper fixtures with the old traditional 2 bulbs. It offically fell apart last week and so i decided to change it up. I bought this 2 pk so that i can match the bathroom. At first the bar was hard to set up but it worked. I love the fact there is a switch to change the light setting. So for those saying its still dim you didnt move the switch on the side before covering it with the ring, i moved the switch from 3k to 4k. Try it and update your review, trust me its there. 3k 4k and 5k its awesome and for the price cant beat that. I love 2fer deals.

We originally purchased 6 of these LED lights for our remodeled basement because of the excellent ratings. They look nice, put off nice light and we thought we had done a good job. Then after 9 months, one of them blew out and left a scorch mark from the driver and on our ceiling tile. A week later, the second one went dark with an occasional flicker. Disappointed but hopeful we bought a couple more twin packs to replace the bad ones and have a couple of spares. We had an electrician in to do the replacements and to check if they could find something wrong with the wiring or the lights. He couldn't find anything specific and installed the two replacements. Not long after he left, one of them started to hum, something the other lights were not doing. I spoke to one of the electrical company's owners and he could only say that many LED lights just aren't that good. So, we started with 6, bought 4 more and will return the 2 taken down. Electrician costs are adding up. You decide for yourself, but I'm not buying any more.

I really like these lights and they look good but my biggest complaint and partly just cuz I’m not really a handy person but when I went to put the cover back on after changing the color one of the hooks snapped off and in hindsight it was very clear how it should have gone back on but based off where it said to tighten It wasn’t working and so now the cover hangs off on that side. Bummed about that but other wise happy with the lights.

Easy to install. Looks great, love the 3 different light settings available. Love the low profile of the fixture. Would buy again.

Purchased these for the hallway and will be installing them in our downstairs hallway as well. Simple to mount, can adjust to 3 different light settings and very low profile. Beautiful Pics show Full bright and Lowest Dim with Dimmer switch purchased from Home Depot and are set on soft white.
