#1 Reason not to purchase Glacier Bay faucets
The Aerator can only be removed with a special tool geared to fit it. What is available is a cheap plastic adapter. If your faucet has been subject to hard water over time the aerator will be even more difficult to remove. In my experience the plastic "teeth" on this tool gave way before the aerator would budge. The aerator parts I did remove was done with pliers not the "special tool" and as you can see in the photo the main part of the aerator is still in place. This was my last Glacier Bay purchase.

Not a design I would purchase again. If an additional replacement is required in the future, I will just replace the faucet.

Faucet aerator
It was the hardest thing to install and uninstall the tool is useless.. teeth on the tool kept breaking cuz it's plastic .. decided to change both faucets and not have to deal with this again !

Hello Bolts. We apologize for the confusion. This particular Aerator does not come in a finish. The chrome description is not correct and we are in the process of getting this corrected.

The description claims it is chrome. Which leads the consumer to think it will be metal. It isn’t. Neither part has any metal.
In fact the tool is very soft plastic and should be described as a one time use tool. If it doesn’t break on you.
The aerator is what I have in the faucet so it is ok.
Would never recommend this tool.

Included tool allowed me to remove the hidden aerator, clean deposits from end of faucet, and replace new aerator. Now that I have the tool, I can just clean and replace my other aerators.

The seal is at the very end of the treads and good luck seating it without pinching it or breaking it. Bought two, one for each faucet in my bathroom, ruined one and barely fit the second one. Cheap plastic junk. I will never buy Glacier Bay again. I reside in California and bought the faucets here and the aerators are not "available" in California so I bought the pair and had you send them to my sister in Oregon. She then mailed them to me. This is STUPID

These Aerators are specific to certain Glacier Bay faucets and if you did not order the correct one for the faucet model that you have, it will not work properly or will not fit. However, most Glacier Bay faucets come with a limited lifetime warranty so we suggest you contact the Home Depot Customer Care Department and they would be glad to assist you in finding the correct parts for your faucet model. This replacement worked perfectly. The original aerator was so cemented with deposits that the "battlements" were beginning to strip. I ended up using needle-nose pliers and destroyed the aerator. I used vinegar to remove the scale from faucet threads and on the new aerator threads I put a thin coat of petroleum jelly for easier removal. I also will definitely be cleaning it out more frequently.

It fit perfectly, it took a minute to find out what kind of faucet I had! Internet is great, especially after installing it several years ago! Trash in the water pipe lines clog up the aerator. Glad the kit supplied a tool too! Great $!

This is a poorly designed product, the one I received was cracked on the edge. If they carried parts for their own brand (glacier bay) in their store I would have been able to check it out myself before I purchased it home. It was nearly impossible to remove the old one with the flimsy plastic "wrench?". Would not recommend glacier bay... at least until you can buy parts for it in the store.
