This lock was on my shed when I purchased my house. It works well UNTIL you can’t unlock it. Sprayed WD-40 into every nook and cranny. Should these rust??? I have emailed Master Lock and waiting for their response.

The back of the lock, where the opening is, isn't shown on the packaging, so you don't know until you open the container the dimensions of the opening it will fit. It doesn't fit the lock area for a Mi-Box or POD, for example. The packaging has to be destroyed to get the lock out, so returning the lock isn't an option. This lock will definitely aid in deterring thieves. It's super sturdy and In my opinion, impossible to pry open and or use bolt cutters. Make extra keys!

I wanted a padlock that can't be cut by bolt cutters or diamond tip power cutters. This lock also fits close to the door so the hasp can't be cut. I have more peace of mind with this lock over anything else that would fit.

Felt like this was the best way to secure items on the UHAUL Trailer for a cross country trip. Works well. Make sure you install the key hole up! It got jammed the other way.

While this lock is very resistant to brute force attacks, it has a significant security flaw allowing someone with the right tool to open it as quickly as with a key. Additionally, over time, the keyway tends to get sticky- at least in my application where I’m using it on a trailer.

Didn't quite fit, but it's definitely strong. I had to use a hammer to jam it onto my truckbox latch, because the opening on the puck lock was not quite high enough or deep enough to get the shackle through the hole in the latch. But while the banging got it jammed on tight enough to prevent further entry, I never could get the shackle engaged. Once I got it back off when a different brand of puck lock with a slightly bigger opening finally arrived, it still works fine, although it's a little beat up looking. Too bad it couldn't work correctly for my latch, but maybe I can find someone else who will need it.
