Product worked great. My building settled 1/4" and the garage door would not lock. With only a chisel, drill, and this strike plate it is working like new.

This device wasn't designed to fix my door problem. However, it provided the material, that when slightly modified, which I was able to use to fix my door. Cost was nominal for value provided. So my verdict is "satisfied".

If I have several interior doors to fix, I would like the option of buying the parts I need, rather than multiple kits.

A little thicker, but a great product. Worked for what it is.

Kind of pricy. But problem that the lateral opening is narrower than the existing hardware, You can compensate for the vertical easily, which this piece is supposed to do , but you may end up with a lateral mismatch.

If you have THAT door that changes with the weather (literally), this is a great option. I just don’t have the skill anymore to properly cut in a new strike. This item helped me to get the garage-to-house door to stay latched. Nice clean finish. My only change was to use longer screws, for security purposes. I would use it again.

quick and easy fix. Not sure how well it will work over the long term, the backing the brass is attached to seems a little flimsy for not breaking over the years but TBD.

This is a great product for repairing any door with a latch problem. Whether its a new or old/repurpose door, this will resolve the latch issues. If the door latch will not catch for whatever reason this will fix it. I have used this product on multiple doors.

Easy install. Worked great. Otherwise I was thinking of resetting the opening. I tried working on the hing. It wasn’t enough.

As stated in other reviews, WAY overpriced. The brass finished was discolored after removing a factory label attached on the upper corner. The double-sided tape on the back was completely useless. It did, however, save me from chisel work and painting if I had installed a standard strike. Time will tell.

I bought these because they have a taller catch opening, so my door that was hitting too low on my old catch, I used the same top screw hole, put this on and cut the catch box a little taller with a multi-tool, chiseled out for the bottom part of the place and now the door latches again! Much easier then trying to move the old plate down and having to plug the old holes and stuff...or harder still to fix the sagging door :)

Very easy to install and fixed the problem.

This item will restore a messed up door jam, making your lock set more effective.
