It is easy to install and best of all the ability to adjust the rotation is much better then other sprinklers. Actually it is quite simple to do. I only use this kind of sprinkler. Going on 35 years of satisfaction.

EASY SET UP!! These mini paws are what I have been needing for my lawn to help with dry patches. I have all mini paws on the inside sprinkler heads and maxi paws on the outside lawn perimeter. Having used a few different brands, these are by far the easiest set up and best coverage. No more dry areas. I would definitely recommend this product.

These seem to work well for about 2 or 3 weeks and then keep getting stuck in one position. No matter what i do, they continue to get stuck over and over. gave up on them, dug them up and replaced them with pop up Rotor Sprinkler heads instead

We're sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your purchase. There are a number of reason the sprinkler does not rotate back and forth. It could be due to (1) insufficient water pressure (at least 25 psi), (2) debris in nozzle or build up of water deposits causing friction, or (3) excessive water pressure (just as each sprinkler has a lower pressure limit there is also an upper limit, which is 80 psi at the head; optimum operating pressure is around 50 psi). If you're still experiencing issues, we’d love to walk you through the steps to troubleshoot. Just reach out to our technical support at 1-800-RAIN BIRD (800-724-6247) so we can help.

    Only works one way
Second try on this sprinkler head and they will only go one way. Triggers fine in that one direction but the slow side always gets stuck and I guess is t strong enough to push the lever back? I like impact sprinklers but for unground systems, these are worthless.

If your Rain Bird Mini-Paw Impact Sprinkler rotates to one side and stops, it may be due to a number of things. Firstly, there may be insufficient water pressure. To verify, remove the sprinkler head and attach a pressure gauge to the riser, checking the operating pressure with the line running. If the water pressure is low, check for breaks in the line or water running elsewhere that could drain the pressure. Secondly, check for debris in the nozzle or other parts of sprinkler. Sometimes, a build-up of water deposits can cause friction and stop the rotation. To remedy, remove the sprinkler and check for debris in the nozzle, swivel bearing, and inlet. Sometimes, a wire pushed gently into the nozzle will loosen debris so it can be rinsed out. However, do not drill or alter the nozzles as this may permanently hinder the sprinkler performance. Lastly, check for excessive water pressure. Just as each sprinkler has a lower pressure limit for proper operation, there is also an upper limit. For most sprinklers the limit is 80 psi at the head, while the optimal operating pressure is around 50 psi. Pressure that is too high will, at the worst, cause the sprinkler to stall, and at the least, cause the premature wear of the sprinkler parts. If the sprinkler rotates or reverses very fast, this a forewarning of excessive pressure. To remedy, put more heads on your line or try making adjustments in the flow at the valve. In some cases, installing a pressure regulator ahead of your main shutoff valve is a good idea and will protect your entire system. If after checking the aforementioned and you are still experiencing issues, we would love to walk you through additional steps to troubleshoot. Great as a roter assymbly replacment
The insides of these are the same as the more expensive model (AG58PK). If you just need to replace the rotor assy you can save money by getting these and throwing away the outside case. Rainbird use to sell just the rotor assy. by it's self, but in an effort to waste plastic and fill our landfills, they they stoped and force you to buy the whole assembly. Normaly, the inside is the only part that wears out.
