At first glance, it looks a little cheesy, but It does a decent job of blocking most of the direct sunlight, while allowing airflow; but after a few mild to medium gusts of wind and small plastic plug on the end of the pole, popped off and pole was lying on the ground with the shade flapping in the wind. Need to redesign how the 2 plugs attach to the pole; I would suggest deeper plugs with pushpins, allowing for quick disconnect, and stronger connection, and easy replacement part. Overall, it’s a decent shade for the price, especially, in this economy. So if you don’t have a lot of money to spend, then this is a good buy; as all shades need replaced generally after 3-5 years (unless you maintenance and have mild weather), then you may get up to 10 years or so, and some only last a year. So just shop around first, check all your options.

Inatalled them on my sliding doors which face SW. They reduce the heat in my house but allow light in. I am very happy with my purchase.

Setup was ok.. stripped a few screws but probably my fault.

The shade has been installed for a week. The sewing of material around the bottom bar is uneven but seems sturdy enough. So far it is working well.
