Anyone flush a toothbrush down their toilet lately? I did! And I was scared to tell my apartment maintenance about it since they charge us for major repairs. It isn't honest but I was planning on buying a toilet auger to try and shove it through to the big pipe behind my toilet plumbing for the whole apartment complex so I didn't have to deal with the cost of repairs I was expecting. All YouTube videos/online articles say for this problem the entire toilet has to be removed off of the floor. *ugh* I went with a heavy heart to Home Depot to see what tools and advice I could find. I have never had any experience fixing anything before in my home and Terry from lumber not only left his department to come help me but was so nice and patient and took the time to educate me on what I needed to know to fix my problem. I told him the dishonest idea I had and he was not judgemental at all but offered a brilliant and new idea that no one else had before. Instead of letting me buy a $16 auger he sold me a $6 grabber tool that can be used for clogs in any drain(aka used again for other purposes in tub and sink drains as well). He walked me over to the area where toilets are sold and showed me the physical design and speculated and encouraged me to try this idea first as it was a good chance it was retrievable with this gadget. I thanked him and went on my way! God blessed that idea and after a prayer and God's favor with this cool tool I got out the flushed toothbrush after 5 minutes of trying! Oh I almost forgot! He also showed me a pro-tip about this tool that helped me so much. He helped me see that when it grabs onto something it doesn't retract as far so I will know when I have got it. Terry, you're the man! Home Depot is blessed to have you! I hope many people can fix this problem in their homes just as easily as I did! The tool is by PF Water Works and model # is PF0405

Doing early Christmas shopping and purchased a leaf blower. Had a hard time getting help in the mower/lawn care department. Finally Morgan from customer service, who had tried to get me someone to help me multiple times, came to check on me and took it upon herself to help me personally. She couldn’t answer all my questions, nor did I expect her to, but took the time to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Thank you again Morgan!!

I shop at this location often and am always impressed by the number of employees working the floor, there to help customers find what they are looking and also offer advice on projects.

I purchased the 841688007840 bleach & deck sprayer because it is built to handle corrosive liquids. Time will tell how long it will last. I used it for two applications on Saturday and again today (Monday) for one more application of 1 cup bleach in dilution of 2 gallons of warm water. Stream adjustment is easily done by twisting the nozzle tip for a consistent stream or spray for quantity of application. I was sure to rinse and flush clean, warm water through the spray nozzle under pressure. Then, after releasing the pressure, I rinsed the pressure plunger and all pieces with clean water. I store the nozzle (tip end of the wand) in the plastic tank after passing the handle of the pressure plunger over the nozzle. This keeps the pressure plunger suspended in the air to dry and relieves the gaskets from setting if tightened in normal operating position.

I have never been to this store and not felt like they didn’t help me

I previously visited HD to purchase a snowblower. I had done my research and narrowed it down to a single model. The associate at HD listened to my decision, asked a couple of questions, and considerately pointed out some other options with concerns that I may have with my decision. He was quite knowledgeable, and I ended up choosing a different model that fit my needs better, for not much more money. The unit has operated quite well for us, and the differences he pointed out have been worth changing my decision. Very helpful...

Purchased a KitchenAid dishwasher a fantastic product. The store associate’s knowledge of the product was outstanding.

A big thank you to HD for stocking this bathroom replacement fan/motor kit. After a couple trips to local hardware store, they didn’t carry the exact fit that I needed. The part is older and I was only seeing $50-$75 for the part online. Then I saw HD carried it and it was in stock. Made the swap same day and am so grateful!!

I needed to alter a bathroom ceiling fan to fit the one I was replacing at home. The new one was too big. We (store personnel Brandon and Matt) were able to use the new parts from the new fan to put them into the old housing in order to fit the 37 year-old hole in my ceiling while also being able to boost the power from a 50 to a 70.

To be honest not the type of service I expect at a big box store but your associate Jack went above and beyond in helping to old idiots select purchase and load up a new grill for you new condo. He is one of the best associates I've run into on any retail store. Courteous helpful knowledgeable all the aspects that make a great experience. I will make it a point to return to this store for any home improvement needs simply because Jack left such a good impression. The store is lucky to have such a capable ambassador

I shop here for personal and business all the time - it's definitely the best home store in West Michigan! Almost always have what I need in stock, associates are available and willing to help and the cash registers are always staffed so checkout is quick and efficient!

I went in the other day to get some paint for a last minute project, and the lady, Emily that works in the Paint department, was so kind and helpful!!! I’m very thankful to have had her for help! She was very knowledgeable on the different kinds of paint and finishes they had! She also helped me pick a paint color for some of my projects and got it ready for me right there! I was in and out and had great customer service!

Great experience with help throughout the store, but pricing was wrong on multiple garden items and even after showing the tags they refused to honor it saying it was a vendor error.

Did you know you can purchase granite remnants from Home Depot? April was amazing at helping us pick the perfect look at great savings.

Terry went above and beyond for us. Such great service and amazingly friendly. He cut some fencing for us with a hand saw. Not something they normally do but he was willing to help and make it work for us.
