Amazing experience at this particular home depot! Everyone was very helpful

Store was clean, products orderly, associates say hello and offer help.

One of the employer from this location Cheyenne made my heart so full today by helping a animal in need of a dog house. My husband and I went to the Alton location looking for lumber to build a dog house for a dog who was left out in the cold by her owner. We were looking for any lumber that might of been discounted because we were on a budget. Cheyenne was able to get Home Depot to take a big chunk of the cost and we were able to build this poor dog an AMAZING Dog House and now she never has to worry again about a warm dry place to sleep. Thank you again Cheyenne and God Bless You and all you staff.

Store was clean and associates were very friendly and helpful

Everyone was very friendly! One gentleman walked me over to the item I was searching for to ensure I found it instead of just telling me the aisle number. The cashier was very friendly, thanking me for shopping at Home Depot and for my military service. Store was clean and well stocked! I’ll definitely be shopping there again!

I have been to this store many times over the years. I have always found the employees to be helpful and friendly. There were times when I felt that they were going above and beyond what would be normally expected. Only one time did I have a problem with the quality of a product and the manager went the extra mile to make it right. I was very pleased. If all of your stores are run this way, you will be very successful. I have NO complaints.

Help at the self checkout is very poor

Lyn was beyond amazing at the Alton store tonight! She is exceptional at her job, making the daunting task of visiting a home improvement store very easy! Lyn promptly greeted us and was very helpful and friendly. She went above and beyond not just with product knowledge and questions to help us get all materials needed in one trip, but she was also so sweet to involve my three year old son in the process of mixing our stain, allowing him to see what was happening and how they do it (at a distance). She was beyond kind and so upbeat in her profession. This type of customer service makes a big difference and should be the example set for every employee! Thank you Lyn! I’ve yet to have that kind of treatment, product knowledge and expertise shared with me at a Home Depot.

Employees were friendly, but the standout of the was Damion! Bought a power washer because of his help and phenomenal customer service! In times were great customer service and humanity are rare his professionalism and willingness to help on two separate occasions was deserving of this review! Even the garden employees said, let’s ask Damion when they weren’t sure of an answer! Now that says something! Great job Alton HomeDepot!

Any time my family or I shop at the Alton Home Depot we are treated kindly and get help immediately when needed. There is one particular employee named Bernie who goes out of his way to answer any questions or assists us finding something.

NICE, CLEAN STORE WITH HELPFUL ASSOCIATES! EVERY OTHER HOME DEPOT THAT I'VE VISITED, THE ASSOCIATES ARE RUDE AND WILL SEE A CUSTOMER WONDERING AROUND LOOKING FOR ITEMS AND WON'T EVEN ASK, "MAY I ASSIST YOU WITH ANYTHING"? THIS STORE IN ALTON, IL OFFERED A TOTALLY DIFFERENT, AND PLEASANT EXPERIENCE

Always helpful in finding what you need

Home Depot overall is a solid place to shop, however, in this time of Covid-19 safety is paramount in my mind. The store has signage stating that masks are required for entry, but that is not the case. The employees and many customers alike either do not wear masks or do not wear them properly. I am not going to be shopping here until this pandemic is over, or the company begins to enforce their own rules.

Big and better selection of garden plants reasonably priced. Store appeared cleaner and staff was very polite and made noticed you were there, they just didn’t walk by you and ignored you.

Customer service is terrible!!

I really want to thank these store employees for being there everyday during this pandemic and keeping calm during some of the customers who were not nice or friendly. There was a young gentleman cussing out the door greeter while we were there and the door greeter handled it with professionalism and apologized to everyone waiting.

Every time I'm in this store someone always goes above and beyond to help, truly a joy to shop here for anything I need.
