I bought 2 dehumdifiers and 2 20" floor fans online for in store pickup at this CARY store so my wife could pick them up on her way to Gloucester NC after flying into Raleigh from Los Angels to dry out our house impacted by Hurricane Dorian and prevent MOLD as I am away in Asia. After driving 3 hours to the house she found the items had been used before and repackaged!! The dehumidifier had parts missing so cannot be used and the fan is filthy with dust grime and dirt, it is so filthy it must have been used for months before being returned and then resold to us - I have photos for anyone interested in seeing. I called customer service and they will not allow me to return by UPS and have insisted I have no option but to drive 100 mile round trip to return products that were sold to me that were already used thru no fault of my own. Do not know how a store can resell obviously used items - the fan is completely caked in dust - there is no way you could not see it had been used. I have recently been shopping at Lowes and decided to give Home Depot a try again - after this experience I am not sure I will. If you do shop at this store I strongly advise you open the packaging at your car before leaving to confirm it is no previously used - buyer beware!!! I was appalled by the lack of empathy from the HD customer service agent I spoke to at 1:55 Am on 9/8/19 - when I explained my wife is urgently trying to save the house from mold etc and does not have time to drive 100 mile round trip (will just buy replacement from local hardware) and requested being allowed to ship back by UPS - the agent refused - I would not call that being customer centric in any way.

It seems the treated lumber is getting worse each time I want to buy some, Warped, full of knots, even the prime has knots. HD should look at Hemlock, Spruce or Fir from the West Coast for better lumber.

The customer service was excellent. The associates took the time to check prices and recommend the best product.

Store is nice and clean, and staff in aisles are generally friendly; but customer service staff is pretty rude. You can keep standing there for several minutes without any acknowledgement by the employees walking right in front of you, having casual chats among themselves with a surprising indifference to customers.

This is a great store and I always get what I need here. All the staff are extremely friendly and professional and a special shout out to Alex Mancuso in flooring. You're a star, Alex !

Regular crew that likes their job. They learn faces, smile & if not with another customer- actually ask if they can help you find an item. It's nice not to be invisible in a box store! Sometimes customers set things down in a different place & you have to go back for the right item or a bin is empty but they WILL get items down for you & check a part number.

I always choose the Cary Home Depot first because of the consistently friendly and helpful service. I often have little time and a long list and employees will always see to it that I find what I came in for. This is one of my favorite shopping places!

A good representation of available faucets, with the one I needed in stock. I also appreciate that the box was sealed with nylon strapping, ensuring that all the parts put in at the factory were still there.

The sales associate was exceptional.

Paint department is the best ever. Associates are friendly and VERY knowledgeable. Especially Ken in the paint department. He is so helpful.

I love this store. Its managers and employees have always been helpful and knowledgeable. Dave taught me how to build a closet and Theresa taught me how to faux paint. I have been going there for over 7 years and feel like they are friends, not just a worker in a store. It really helps to look up items online to see where they are located in the store, and then be able to go right to the aisle and bay and find them. No one has ever been rude or difficult. The store is always clean and customer service is always helpful. Thank you!

Potentially bad experience turned great due to the helpful staff at Cary's Home Depot. I was unable to find a particular water pressure regulator I was looking for. I asked for assistance before the website showed at least 1 in stock. The first person could not find it either so he brought in Steve and David from plumbing and they were able to track down exactly where in the store the regulator was at. Not only that, but they also set me up with the fittings and adapters I needs to connect it to the plumbing in my home.

Employees at the Cary HomeDepot are friendly and helpful, making it pleasant to shop there. I enjoy using their ship to store option. I have recently received excellent customer service that went beyond the call of duty there. If you can't find anyone in a particular department to help you or you need someone with a particular expertise, check the Customer Service Desk. They will find someone to help you.

I have always liked the Cary Store, which I have shopped at since it was built. I have found the folks there to be very nice and helpful.The store is always very clean; I don't know how they manage that, but it is done. I have noticed that the employees are willing to help each other and that the morale is excellent, which shows when assisting customers. My favorite location, even though I go to all in the area as a result of my remodeling work.

This is the only store in town that has the Christmas light replacement tool.
