Tried to return 4 door slabs that are a stocking product with out a receipt. Asked for an instore credit and was denied my return. When I asked why and talked with a manager I was told to read the bottom of the denial receipt. No help by the local team.

Plenty of parking, always a clean store, always has what I need. Great personal employee service. Very friendly.

The people were very helpful. Will keep shopping at that store.

Dave in Tool and Truck rental was SUPER helpful and friendly. I had accidentally reserved a truck for a different date than I needed, and he helped me get the reservation reset correctly. He was patient, humorous and very helpful. He’s a great asset to The Home Depot. I wish more employees had his desire to solve problems for people like he clearly does!!

For the times I come to the Downers Grove Store, every employee that I have encountered has been friendly and helpful. I am grateful that there is still this type of customer service here in America.

I bought a Mustee shower unit and discovered that it was damaged after I got it home - Brian was super helpful in finding me another shower unit at a different store. Also, Steve in plumbing is super helpful and helped me with measuring, cutting and threading a piece of pipe for a closet.

Went in to purchase plants for my garden. Also found flowers to plant. Everyone very helpful.

I purchased a tankless water heater on March 18, 2022. This review isn't in regards to the product but about an associate that goes by the name of Doc. Doc not only assisted me in getting my item, but explained to me why it was such a great purchase and where I might run into a hiccup with this product. This kind of costumer service is what big retail needs. Unbiased knowledge about the item(s); good and bad. Answered all of my questions in terms that I can understand. If you have a plumbing project I suggest you find Doc in plumbing! Avoid Karl, Dave, and/Ken at that department if you want ideal assistance shopping at this location.

Next time I will buy on line and get it shipped to my home

Sydney the cashier in the Pro Department should not have interaction with customers until she receives more & better training. Very rude and sarcastic young lady. It's not my fault if she hates her job. Needs a more friendly, helpful attitude. Thank you.

I visit a variety of home improvement stores as an electrician and handyman. But THIS Downers Grove, IL Home Depot is the cleanest/neatest store with the best customer service throughout. From the Service Desk and Check-out to Multiple Departments. They are staffed and appreciate customers and do not see us as a distraction to other duties and tasks. I have been a customer here for OVER 20 years and it gets better all the time.

Having recently relocated to the area, we’ve had to make several trips to this store. Each visit, everybody there has made it a pleasant experience. Everyone takes the time to answer your questions and assist anyways they can. And if they can’t help, they get someone who can. Definitely recommend this store for all your Home Improvement needs!

This is one store that I always say to myself I am so glad to have it nearby. My go-to for every need. So far I am very satisfied with the quality of all the products I have purchased which they offer warraty for, even for the plants.

With this Home Depot store in Downers Grove I don't have to look anywhere else for my home needs! The store is clean and organized, the employees are friendly and helpful and the prices are right!

Make sure call over and over about deliveries. They change the date without notifying you!

In 2017, I remodeled my entire 2-bedroom condo. I spent a lot of time (and money) at that store. I removed all carpeting and installed laminate, removed 2 closets and 1 wall. One helpful employee even gave me a piece of the laminate to take home to check matching tiles, etc. I had my own contractor, but anytime I needed one for other jobs, they have been prompt, always mannerly and respectful of my home.

Staff at this store are outstanding! Most go above and beyond to help out. A special shoutout to Chris in the gardening department - you ROCK! And Donna, cashier in gardening, you are always so warm and welcoming. Thank you! You lighten the load during these challenging times.
