Running in for a few things and finding nothing but a long line at all the self check stations is not my idea of fun . I will no longer shop at Home Depot if they want me to do the job of an employee standing there chatting

I shop here regularly & typically have pleasant interactions. I recently had a great experience with a cashier named Patty P., & whenever I seek out an associate to help me they do, or at least hand me off to someone who can when possible. However, I do notice that floor associates in this store don't really go out of their way to engage customers, even just to offer a kind verbal greeting as they pass by. This includes times when I have been in the store trying visibly hard to find something, staring at the same section for several minutes, & floor associates (yes, usually more than one) walk by & say nothing. There have also been multiple times I've sought assistance in a department (i.e., front doors), but there are no associates present who are trained to assist in that department. The cashiers/self-checkout/customer service desk staff are always pretty friendly, as are associates that I seek out to help me when I need some assistance. It's possible this store is short-staffed like everyone else, however, may help to consider cross-training employees to qualifiedly assist in a couple different departments to bridge the manning gap. Other than that, store is usually clean, staff overall pleasant, & shopping the store when I know exactly what I need & where to find it is easy enough.

After this store tried to pass off 1/2” sanded plywood $48 per sheet for 3/4” sanded plywood $70 per sheet, curbside loader said he’d be right back with the plywood I paid for, I sat in the parking lot for over an hour with no update from the store at all. I had to call customer service to tell them what the was going on, then they act surprised when I come out of the truck wet hornet mad, like we aren’t busy out here. 1 hour sitting in Home Depot parking lot is not making money for me. Finally brought the correct plywood out and 1 if the sheets was damaged! What am I supposed to do with a $70 damaged piece of finished plywood?

Save yourself a headache, order what you need online whenever you can or go to one of the other stores that are within 15 or 20 minutes of this one.. I live less than 1 1/2 miles from the Englewood store. I find myself driving past this store on my way to one of the other HD's frequently. Often they don't carry the things I need. Next, and just as important, is that they've gone to self checkout. Home Depot apparently doesn't consider wasting their customers time an issue. It is obvious that a lot of the people in the lines don't know how the process works and get very flustered when things don't go well. This slows things down to a crawl and irritates even more people. Then there was the guy next to me who wanted to buy paint. He had to call for a "cashier" to come over and allow him to pay for the paint. His wasted time was doubled.

Grace was so knowledgeable and pleasant it was a pleasure to work with her. I am looking forward to getting my new appliances.

Even though this is a smaller store with less stock, the staff is always helpful.

FLOORING DEPARTMENT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE, SALES PEOPLE WERE VERY HELPFUL

Every time I got into this store, no matter how busy, they always have what I need, they get me in and out in a timely fashion, the staff is always friendly and helpful. I love dealing with this store. I am in here a couple of times a week, and I always have a good experience, even when returning something. Customer service is always good.

My mother is 88 years old and lives of Rotonda Florida and was hit pretty hard and hurricane Ian On 9/28/22 I immediately flew to Florida to help my mother I could not find contractors/vendors or repair Materials I immediately called my friend Chris Nurre at the Home Depot in Lake Zurich Illinois and he immediately dispatch material to me and got me a few contractor lined up. It was incredible help I had been on the phone for days and couldn’t get anybody in Florida and he had me set up within minutes and those two vendors did an awesome job with our carpeting and repairing the whole inside of the home with drywall painting, etc. thank you Home Depot and Chris for an awesome incredible job.

Haven’t put floor down yet but I’m sure I will like my pergo.

Everytime I go to Home Depot when checking out there is only 1 staffed checkout in the store and 1 in the garden department. Super long lines. The self checkout lines are long and confusing. Please hire more staff so the company can actually scan our purchases. Why should the customers do your job?

I am a regular customer at Home Depot, however, my visits of the past two days at this location have been very disappointing. Shelves were not stocked with an item that I verified was in stock on line and with the sales associates. The sales associates were of little help locating the item I was looking to purchase. Today the item I was looking to purchase appeared it was on sale, but when I went to check out it did not ring up as marked on the shelf. As it turned out, the shelf was not stocked properly. The associate at check-out offered no assistance to verify the sale price.

No live cashiers. Will shop ACE from now on.

The employees who work there put their heart and energy into it. They do it with a smile and with kindness on a constant basis. The associates on the floor are overworked but they do it impartially and politely.

Grace is a appliance specialist in the department. VERY knowledgeable about products. Encourage you to work with her if you have any questions!

I HAVE BEEN AT THE IS STORE SEVERAL TIMES IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS AND THE PEOPLE ON THE FLOOR ARE SO ACCESSIBLE AND HELPFUL. GREAT SERVICE!

They have no cashiers at this location! If you want to check out with a living, breathing human being; GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Store had good selection and kind helpful associates

After the Hurricane Ian there was a lot of pressure. So just wanted to say most people were helpful and out going

Friendly staff and good [products

Knew what we wanted coming in, and the store had exactly what we wanted for a great price. Our salesperson was friendly, knowledgeable, and more than friendly. A very positive experience all in all.

Employees are helpful and friendly even when the store is busting with people.

No greeting, no thank you, associates know next to nothing about products.IF you can find anyone to help.

If Hurricane Ian left you with damaged appliances see John in the appliance department. He was very kind, helpful, and caring.

The customer service employee, Lynette and the manager Jenn, are extremely helpful. I bought a replacement part for my fridge on line and was never told I could not return it to the store if it was incorrect. When I took the part in, they helped me work through this concern and were very friendly and patient during the whole process. Thank you!

With the aftermath of hurricane Ian so destructive I have to hand it to Home Depot. They handled it unbelievably. Stock kept coming in and plenty of help on hand to assist.

Let’s say, where should we begin… At the beginning, we arrived at the Home Depot with the purpose of purchasing flooring for 1300 ft.² in our home. We met Eaton and flooring who is a rockstar. She went above and beyond and called three other stores to see if they had stock so that we could complete our order. Her supervisor came by just to check on us to make sure that we were all set, what a wonderful employee/gentleman. We would be remiss if we did not give lots and lots of recognition to your assistant manager Stacy. He not only assisted us but made us feel very comfortable in your store. He also had two new department managers observe what he did for us so that our sale became a learning experience. What a wonderful management technique he utilized this afternoon. Talk about a well oiled machine, once we got to the front Doreen was our final fireplug of an employee. She assisted us in scheduling our delivery and could not have been nicer or more congenial. This Home Depot is head and shoulders over Northport and Venice both of which we have spent thousands of dollars at. We just found our new Home Depot Because when employees treat you the way we were treated today why on earth would you want to shop anywhere else!

We were having trouble with getting our military discount via the app. Debbie at customer service was sooo helpful and patient. Thank you Home Depot for your dedication to customer service.
