GOOD PLACE TO SHOP

I was waiting in line to make a return and a guy walked through the exit and cut in front of me, witch was fine, no biggie. The cashier Karen did ask who was first. Then she answered the phone before helping the guy, when she was finished I simply stated that I bought the wrong color of grout and before I could ask if I could just walk to the back and grab the correct color Karen threw up her hand and said "Sir you're next" I tired to explain that I just wanted to walk to the back grab the correct color and she raised her voice and said "I asked who was first" That wasn't the point. I asked to speak to the manager, I didn't catch her name but she was apologized and allowed me to get the correct color for the exchange.

# 6574 is awesome store, i get a kick ouit of going there.

I never find products easily in Home Depot. Few things, if any, are where I think they should be. I've learned to park by the lumber door as that is near the exit. Beware though, as the contractors also park in this area. This store, as with other Home Depot stores, appears to be organized by someone devoid of trade, craftsman or DIY experience. The disjointed product array tends to walk you from 1 side of the store to the other. Perhaps this is by design and if so, I argue a bad design. You go to Home Depot with a mission in mind and the easier it is to find the products the quicker you get back to work and on to the next task. The store might consider training employees to deliver better customer service. I'm sure they go through the paces and have the training videos but at the point of customer interaction there is a gap. I'm also not sure who the store caters to. I am both a personal consumer of products for myself and my household as well as a professional consumer for the business i work in. I rarely get any service and would have to say that the associates are not helpful. On several occasions I have found myself in an aisle clearly looking for something with an associate also in the aisle. Rarely will the associate ask if they can help. Most of the time they have ignored me and walked away. I generally have to ask them for help and when I do they tell me either that is not their department but try Aisle so and so, not offering to help me find it. On a rare occasion they may look it up on their handheld device and on more than one occasion they told me how easy it is to simply look it up that way. Don't get me wrong. I am happy that we have a Home Depot. It's a place where I can go from time to time to browse whats on the shelf, pick it up, read the box, see where it's made. I'm always in search of that thing or two I didn't know I needed until the moment it's staring back at me. Yeah, it may sit on my bench or hang on a hook a while, but rest assured, at some point I will need it and hopefully I can find it when I do. As for customer service, perhaps the definitions changing and it's something that once was important but is no more.

All the store employees are super helpful and knowledgeable. Have been to many other Home Depots in many cities. Best one!!!

We ordered some really nice patio furniture for our home. Had out of state family visiting, so we ordered with ample time for delivery to store. The shipping date reflected my purchase date which was a red flag & sure enough our 5 boxes were not delivered together or on time. HOWEVER...store associates were ON IT! We had our furniture really close to the original date but ONLY because they worked diligently on our behalf to MAKE it happen! Yay to Galveston Home Depot!!!

i just recently became aware of the monthly workshops that home depot has and that alone is amazing but that 2 employees that were there that day did such an awesome job with the event and even let us stay a few minutes after it was over. meaning they did not kick us out!

Employee who checked me out with 20+ boxes did not offer to help load into my car. Employees watched from the inside as I struggled to load these boxes in the pouring rain.

The customer service team with Erica and Brianca speak for the store alone. Top notch customer service and willing to resolve an issue . They made that extra effort to resolve an issue. Frankly those two are one of a kind these days.

Great personnel. Sometimes it gets busy and you hav to wait your turn, but the people assigned to the departments really know their trades.

Manager is rude and disrespectful

Byrd, an employee at the store was knowledgeable and very helpful to show us where to find all that we needed (which was a lot!). She clearly knew her store and had information to provide about each product we were deciding on!

Normally I can find an associate to help me locate something or ask a related question too. Or they find me and ask if I need assistance. Even using the app is great for locating stuff. I enjoy going to this store, so sometimes I do it a couple of times a day. But that's because I usually forget something. or need to return something I didn't really need, and they are great about that too.

Employees are doing the best they are allowed to do. Management, not so much! Store is under-staffed. While making a return, the one employee had three customers asking for assistance, while he spoke on the phone and a second line ringing all the while two other people waiting to return items. Over-worked? You Bet! I think that I’ll do my part to help the situation and under-customer this store.
