Nice place with friendly employees

When i went in the store and requested help no one was available for help outside. When I paid for my purchase the person at the register was trying to help. However when I asked for something special on my purchase which was a delivery I asked for a delivery in 4 days I was told 14 days. When i said that will not work their response was why not pick up yourself. My purchase weighs 5200 to 5500 pounds, how am I to handle? Well I guess that is my problem!!!!!! Not much help with my issues.

Love this place. There almost every day as a professional contractor. Quality of product and quantity are superb. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable.

This store is populated with great employees. Today I met a new hire, Sam. "I'm still learning", he said. Then followed up with. "Perhaps we can learn together as we solve your problem." He first made sure he understood my goal then offered THREE approaches to address my challenge. He fits in with Amber and Fred (both plumbing dept). who have a similar approach to customer assistance. This HD is my go to store...even though I must pass a blue and white box to get there.

great customer service

Hardware associate flat out refused to cut a key blank because the original key was a transponder. I explained I didn’t need the transponder just the blank metal key for unlocking the door. He said “I don’t care we don’t do it. It’s company policy. It’s always been company policy.” I had to go to the service desk where a very nice woman agreed the key could be cut and she went to the department and cut the key for me. While we were there the first associate blatantly lied to her about what he said to me. Extremely rude and unnecessarily confrontational employee.

Your store in Mechanicsburg and the people who work there are the reason my business has been successful!

Great customer service.

My lumber order was overall very dissatisfying. Paid for site delivery and driver wasn't very helpful when we had an issue with the placement. When my concern was mentioned the attitude seemed to be "not our problem". In addition, my lumber order was not entered correctly and therefore not delivered as per specs. I requested pre cuts which were not done. When I called to follow up and express my dissatisfaction I was told the "system" was down and again the attitude was "can' help you right now". The responsibility to follow up was placed on the customer rather than owned by the employee which isn't my opinion is poor customer service.

Very attentive, friendly staff. Second time to this store and it will now be my first option.

Paint department employees were very helpful.

I came in to get a multi-position ladder, and had my kid on my shoulders. The associate, Mike, asked what I was looking for, and what I intended to do with it, and then guided me towards the most practical (not most expensive!) solution for me. He then proceeded to carry it up to the check out area and once that was done, brought it out to my car for me. The cashier was also very helpful as I paid with several gift cards.

This store needs more employees like Fred and Amber. When local and corporate get good reviews (like this one) they should be sharing them with the employees who generated those responses. This is called Team Building. It helps employee morale as they get far too many undeserved complaints...I have heard them on the receiving end of derogatory and undeserved comments from the perpetually disgruntled. Store always has good variety and supply of what I need. Self checkout sucks as the checkout clerk I always encounter (me) is not good at multitasking. I drive past one of those "blue" stores and travel farther to get to this HD.
