This store has way too many displays in the main aisle for people pushing large carts to get around them and the many other customer going the opposite way that are also pushing large carts. You need to leave the Aisle clear of all those displays. Your checkout process is a mess too, you have to walk to the middle of the store to pay with self checkout and all the way to the lumber side to have an actual cashier check you out. The worst part is that there is no clear line for the self checkout and then you are told after waiting to one side you have to line up on aisle 13 which is surrounded by more displays and which seems to narrow to enter when people are already lined up in there.

Had an issue with some paint, customer service was awesome! No hassle and gave me a discount for the inconvenience.

I shop here quite often. I usually have a great experience. But, today was different the cashier was very rude. She is the reason I dolido y give the store 5 stars.

I went in on black Friday and their customers service was amazing I mean they had staff available to help everywhere you turned. But I always go here because of their amazing customer service.

I frequent the Home Depot and use the veteran discount extended by the company. There are a small handful of employees here that are rude and disrespectful when checking out. They mock saying “maybe you should just go to Lowe’s “ when I point out that Lowe’s uses a verification system that uses a phone number. Hd policy is different for each employee.. even after a long talk with the store manager regarding the bad attitude of one checker… and the confusion from employee to the next on verification… the problem is actually getting worse now. This location is convenient and I purchase here often. I wish that the store could weed out some of the folks with no customer service skills. It spreads like a cancer!

I have many boxes full home depot receipts and sometimes receipts get lost or misplaced. I bought some items in for return from my last job only asking for store credit because it would take hours to look through receipts and often things are abbreviated on the receipts so it is difficult to figure out which receipts are for each item. All of the pieces approx 4 items were clean still packaged just as they were when I purchased them. They refused to take them back because I didn’t have my receipt with me. Also the only notice they provided was a paper taped to the desk surface at the return register! Which when you bring your items in they are on the counter covering the notice. I would have never known it was there if they hadn’t told me. I have not been in the return line for the last couple months due to illness so I had no warning at all. They said this is how they notify their customers! I have 3 of their credit cards which I usually save for larger purchases. So these items were not on them. I have other credit cards with lower interest and debit cards as well that they could have been purchased on. Also when I went to checkout I didn’t see any such notice near there. They have no problem sending me credit card bills but they didn’t bother to send notices of return policy changes! Their solution is for me to charge everything on their cards even though that means if I don’t pay it off every month I would be charged interest at their extremely high rate with no cash back as I get on my other cards! My solution: Stop buying at Home Depot! A store that that doesn’t care about customer satisfaction! I have been a customer of their stores since they opened the first store on Carpenter Rd in Modesto. Also shopped at the Ceres, Riverbank, Turlock, Stockton stores! When I fell going into their store about a year ago I never asked for any compensation from them. I have always been a loyal customer and also if there was any problem involving any employee I informed the management. Example when the loader at the loading dock told my friend who had a recent heart surgery that he should load the truck himself! I always considered their stores as if they were my own always polite and courteous but also expect to get the service I deserve just like all customers should be treated. No large store is going to be without issues at some time or other so I understand that and don’t expect perfection. but I do expect to be treated fairly and if they were going to change their return policy they could have done better at notifying the customers. They don’t have any problem sending credit card bills so I don’t see why they couldn’t have notified customer with warning notices in the credit card statements. And maybe other ways. I’m am currently a very unhappy customer who feels that Home Depot does not care about it’s customers. Lowe’s is further away for me but maybe it’s better to go farther then to be devalued at Home Depot!

Contact is an excellent customer service sales worker. She is knowledgeable and was happy to help us. If Turlock and Manteca stores had employees like her it would be good to do business with them

Very helpful staff with great service. I didn't spend too much looking for things I found online. They had pretty current inventory check for what I was looking for. Got my stuff and was on my way. Prefect for contractors.

The Home Depot in Modesto is the best they are well stocked with all items and the employees are friendly and courteous I recommend to everyone to use this Home Depot for their household needs.

I was overcharged for a sale item. When I got home I call the store and ask for customer service. The voice prompt for a transfer but the line was not picked up. I tried several time to get transfer to customer service. This store phone line is not functioning

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT GOOD STORE.

Savanaa the cashier in Modesto location is soo rude. She bumped into me and then blamed it on me. Told me I have to stay back because she was walking in the same direction as me. She needs to get fired or quit, since she is soo nasty.

They have the most friendly associates in their store. Very helpful and patient towards SENIORS! Very clean and product well stocked. During this Covid-19, we felt safe while shopping, thank you store # 6601 Modesto

David, Julio and Benny are tops in my book. They searched and searched and finally located a pallet of Gorilla Ladders stacked on the top rack within a different display aisle. Noted that the pallet contained an identifying merchandise sheet but it was marked with wrong codes, sku's etc. These three young men promoted sales by their dedication, kindness and professionalism. They located and removed the ladders from the pallet and made sure these items were remarked and returned to the correct designated bin on the correct display aisle. If it wasn't for them, I would have left without making a purchase and possibly decide not to return.

I purchased Samsung washing machine at Home Depot, and the employee who helped me out from choosing the brand & the advantages and disadvantages of any and all brands on appliances was explained very well to me, before going to Home Depot that day to shop for washing machine. We've been to multiple stores to shop around already, but we ended up buying at Home Depot because of the price affordable and the employee who helped us was such a wonderful employee, he was so friendly and have a great customer service plus he is knowledgeable with all the appliances. GARBAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO ONE WANTS TO HELP THE CUSTOMER AND THEY HAVE A BAD ATTITUDE. I WILL NEVER SHOP THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!!

The girl in the paint area was very helpful and kind but had many people in line waiting for her help. Other than that I found what I needed and the store seemed clean.
