I was at the Home Depot today. My whole experience was a disaster from the beginning. It was a long wait for someone to assist me in cutting a carpet runner. When I finally got help, they did not have the proper tools for measuring and cutting the ends square. Not only were the ends not cut square, the blade on the utility knife the associate was using was very dull. The ends of both pieces that I needed were cut very crudely and even though a quarter inch was added, I will lose more by the time that I cut it square. After all that, when I went to pay for it, I was over charged by .50 a foot. I then went to customer service and a man made the adjustment. He should have given me a credit (since I used my debit card) of $12.50. Instead, he takes cash from his register, rings a new receipt, puts cash back in, then hands me $3 and some change back. I did not think about it at the time since I had such a ridiculous time. But when I got home and looked at the adjusted receipt, I could see that he did not give me the correct refund. I am taking a loss because I do not want to go back again to deal with this!

Black Friday appliance shopping, staff was very helpful. Store organized well and checkout was quick. Happy with pricing. While happy with purchase I will not buy appliances for delivery again. Delivery crew called and showed up on time. I had purchased refrigerator for my elderly parents to include moving old one outside and reconnecting water line. Immediately the one person who spoke broken English said no, they would not touch the old one period-I did not pay for that. This included a call to office where a lady repeated they would not move it. My temper was up and I stated fine, I had already moved away from wall and disconnected water anyway to expedite time so I was able to move it aside. I know I asked for it to be moved out but maybe it had been keyed wrong ??? Anyway, new one moved in but crew refused to connect water - reading fine print the shut off was greater than 6 feet away so ok. The final breaking point was that while they refused to hook up, they also refused to leave water line which Home Depot requires as purchase. “If we don’t hook up we don’t leave hose” (or something close). One gentleman spoke no English while one did a little, enough he knew I was mad and to convey he didn’t work for Home Depot and didn’t care. This experience was far more than an $18 water line, customer service failure. I did receive the line refund after visiting store and once again store employees friendly. Home Depot, your contracted staff is still an extension of you.

Knowledgeable staff who are willing to help any way they can throughout the store. Especially the Pro Desk, and you don't need to be a pro, are on the spot with customer service second to no one.

If I could give negative stars for lack of customer service, I would.

I always have had excellent experiences at my Home Depot. On this particular day I had a young man go out of his way to help me. Unfortunately, I can not recall his name but he was unloading some large bags in the garden department. I am a senior and he noticed that I had several 20lb. bags in a cart and was leaving the cashier on my way to my car. On his own volition, he actually stopped what he was doing and helped me take them out and put them in the car. This is the type service that makes me pass several options for shopping and go to my Home Depot.

I have been doing projects around the house since last fall. I'm at the store at least once weekly. I couldn't have completed my projects without the excellent customer service I continue to receive. These people really care about their customers.

I was greeted when I entered the store. I needed assistance on locating my item on a top shelf. I needed assistance on retrieving the item. I had various questions answered while in the store regarding my Fall projects. I felt like a valued customer!

Excellent customer service at this location. Kim, Carol,Travis and Garth are awesome employees that each played a part and helped push my experience to the next level. They were positive and tenaciously helped find the item that I saw online in my craft group and was labeled "no home". I will make it a point to shop this location in the future as their customer service beats out ALL others!

As always, the store employees make eye contact and actually ask if they can help and then take the time to talk through my project with me. Love this South Roanoke store!

I only shopped the live plant department, but it had what I needed and the cashier was very friendly and efficient.

I have had very good purchasing experiences at this store. The people are so friendly and helpful. And they know their products. I have found the pricing to be very competitive. The store is conveniently located, well lighted, easy to navigate, and safe. I have purchased storm doors and many miscellaneous things like LED light bulbs (the best price I've found), plants, drive way crack sealer. Recently I purchased a dishwasher, range and refrigerator. I was very pleased with the entire process especially the price! The selection of appliances was excellent and the salesperson listened to what I wanted and offered important suggestions.

Store was very clean and there was a good selection of products. A very nice Home Depot.

There is an employee named ALAN that made my shopping trip great. When he realized I didn’t “speak hardware “ he walked row by row with me to pick out the perfect supplies for my project, all the while letting me take my time to make choices, such as color and style, without making me feel like a burden to him. He even made sure I had everything I needed to complete the project with his knowledge of hardware supplies.

Great store with friendly and knowledgable employees. Much better experience than I have had with their competitors.

This store is very clean and well organized. They also have very helpful employees there. This is where I shop at all the time. I would highly recommend this location. I don't like the one on Hershberger Road.W
