I've been shopping the #0370 Baton Rouge Home-Depot for a number of years now - 'going back & forth' < depending on needs, and/or advertising Specials > and find that most of the employees at Home Depot 'tend to be more helpful' than the one's at your competitor < 'not mentioning any names' of course.> This isn't always the case, but in most cases they're positive, and I know there's going to be a couple personalities that aren't compatible with meeting & greeting customers ( in the public) unfortunately. But Home-Depot should be pleased with the manner in which their Store Employees (#0370) are carrying out their duties at this location. Realizing 'how a customer is treated' during his or her shopping experience at Home Depot < by your employees > will depend highly on the frequency they shop and make return visits to your location. Mine have been very positive ! Thank you.

I bought flooring and installation for three bedrooms. I got the call that it had come in and arranged delivery for Saturday. I wasted a whole day because the only delivery window they could give me was all day. The delivery guy called after lunch to tell me they were getting back to the store. He tried to push me into changing delivery to another day, I told him it had to be today. 2 hours later they show up. When I show him where to bring it to he refused and said they would only being it as far as the living room. My spot was a spare bedroom 15ft away. Nope, they refused. I told him that I paid both a delivery and carry in fee and I cannot have that stuff sitting in my living room for a week or more while I wait for installation. Not their problem. Note the contract only states they do not have to carry it upstairs which I do not have. I tell them at this point to leave and take it back to the store. I follow a few minutes later and they are waiting. I demand a full refund which they give without protest. They knew their people had messed up because they didn't try to charge me any restocking fees. The employees at the store were very professional and helpful. They need to retrain or fire the delivery employees.

I went to purchase a Ridgid 1/2 corded drill on Black Friday at full price. The store personnel and cashier were helpful. I ended up also buying a second power tool at the regular price and two powertool battery loss leader deals spending about $490.00. The Ridgid drill appears sturdy enough for my intended use. I wanted the better Milwaukee drill but it was about $50.00 more and I figured that if the Ridgid drill fails or is junk I could return it or at least take advantage of the lifetime warranty. The main reason I was comfortable with the Ridgid drill was the lifetime warranty. Of course you must register the drill with Ridgid within 90 days to get this warranty, so I tried to register as soon as I returned home as I have missed this deadline on prior Ridgid purchases. Of course the Ridgid website was not working correctly. Maybe Black Friday, but the information included on the warranty information piece in the package also contained bad information concerning how to register. As a funny note, you can register by mail, but apparently you still need an email address, and they might notify you (by email) that your registration was effective in 10 TO 12 WEEKS. Clever timing as you have only 90 days to effectively register the product according to the information in the box. As of the time I am writing this I have not been able to register my drill and claim the lifetime warranty. Guess I will try later if I remember. Does Home Depot / Ridgid throw-up obstacles to registration to avoid having to honor the lifetime warranty? I wonder.

Not once did she look up to see if I needed assistance. But when I walked into the store and immediately a young man asked if I was looking for anything specific. I told him what I had been looking for outside in the garden area, he then walked me to the garden area (passing the employee who was still watching videos on her phone), and located exactly the item I needed. I wish I had gotten his name because he was very helpful. Also, I wished the store still had regular checkout stations instead of the self checkout. It seemed like it was confusing to senior citizens who were trying to checkout ahead of me. A young lady had to come help several people use the computers at the self checkout. She was very friendly and patient with them.
