I have shopped in many Home Depot Stores. The Vallejo, CA store is possibly the cleanest of those I have patronized, and is the nearest my home. I wish that some of the products were different, but I suspect that the greater public seeks different products from what I need in many cases (although I think that they could do better if getting what I get instead of some of the stuff that I see in folks' carts.) A specific type of product that I seek but never find are the wettable powder insecticides and acaricides. I lament that Bio-Advanced Three-in-One Rose Care product is even available to consumers, for it should NEVER be used on outdoors rose plants, as it caused death to bee hives.

I bought a vacuum cleaner from the Vallejo store. I had difficulty assembling it. I would have returned the product if not for two employees in the Appliance Dept. - Mae and Loida. I asked for help and they showed me how to put the Hoover vacuum cleaner together and how to use it!! They were kind and patient. As a result I did return the vacuum cleaner. In general I find that employees at the Vallejo Home Depot are helpful. I recommend shopping there.

It’s less about the store and more about their professionalism, or lack thereof! They completely failed to deliver an order on a Saturday, even after I paid and extra $20 to narrow the delivery down to a four window. They never called me or followed up regarding the delivery and subsequent failure. I had to make inquiries after waiting on their phone system several times, for an unreasonable amount of time. They never offer a viable solution to rectify the problem they created, in their failure to deliver, which now pushes back my schedule on a project as a professional contractor several days, which leaves me having to explain why Home Depot’s problem has now become my problem, to my client. Contracting is already a difficult, stressful, schedule driven business and the last thing I can tolerate is flakey suppliers. My advice is, NEVER order anything from Home Depot that you can’t take with you the day you’re shopping there! In order to be successful as a business person in contracting field you need to be able to trust and depend on your personnel, subcontractors and suppliers. That means if there is a mistake they need to be capable of quickly and efficiently rectifying their mistakes and help you resolve the problem they burdened you with. Home Depot grossly failed that test and we as a company will no longer utilize them as a crucial team member. Buyer be aware!

He tried to convince me that a different light was the one I wanted but they were cleary different. He said that was the one and if it isn't then they don't have it. The bulbs looked completely different. I looked again and found what I needed. He didn't even bother to look for it. I needed help finding another item but after walking around with no one in sight to help but the very unhelpful employee I decided to leave. I have zero plans on coming back. The only good thing I can say is the garden cashier was very friendly.

My spouse an I were checking out in garden center. All our items were from there. There were two employees. A young very belligerent girl and an older lady. One of our items had no bar code. The older lady was our cashier and asked the younger girl to go get the code. She rudely said she was not going to stand around and was going somewhere else then walked off. Then the cashier had the audacity to tell us to go take a picture of the bar code for her and that she was going to take the next in line while we did that. OH MY GOD I was so angry. Do not expect any help at this store at all. Rudest place ever

    Long story short. Saw some Christmas Lights on The Home Depot website. Went to the store to purchase them. Was told they don't price match their on line store and would need to pay the in store price. Due to the online and in store price difference and the quantity of lights I hoped to purchase, the savings was substantial. I asked to speak with a manager. After discussing the matter with the manager, they agreed to honor the online price. The cashier proceeded to ring my purchase. A second manager arrives, stops the cashier from continuing and informs me that the first manager was not authorized to approve the transaction. She continued to inform me that they can only price match their competitors prices not their online store. After expressing my frustration, I told her that I would go ahead and purchase the lights through their website's '"Purchase online and pick up in store" option and wait for the items to be ready for pick up. She went on to tell me that when she looked at the online price for the lights and it was the same as the in store price. I had the website on my cell phone as I was in the process of purchasing the lights online and showed her the price difference. Ultimately she did honor the online price without me having to purchase the lights through their website. I understand the manager was following company policy, but I think The Home Depot should reevaluate this policy
