Home Depot makes it hard to shop. I convered to the new iPhone code that I have to present to get the veteran's discount. The last four times I have tried to use it it was nothing but trouble. Self-checkout with the new code is a real joke. Some of the associates are clueless.

Very good job in flooring by Gee Lewis

Living in a Frank Loyd Wright styled Prairie Home since 1988 we have dreamed of creating a beautiful open kitchen matching its unique characteristic. However after several disappointing attempts with local designers and builders who wanted to fit us to their mold instead of sharing our vision, we almost gave up the idea. Home bound due to pandemic we visited our local Home Depot and have been impressed with the dedication and professionalism of its kitchen design staff. Since May we have spent many hours with the kitchen design Crews who listened to us patiently and took pain to bring our ideas into a beautifully perfect yet detailed and affordable project for us We are very happy with our decision to work with Home Depot.

The outdoor patio set was very easy to assemble. As in most cases - real tools such as sockets and wrenches are helpful. The tools sent with the set would work if you didnt have access to alternate tools. The finished product is awesome.

It is a really nice store, but I prefer the one in lake Delton, due to the fact that the traffic isn't as congested and is easier to get to. But to be fair, they are both nice stores, I just don't get to go there very often, due to my health, and needing someone else to drive me

When we went to store for the countertop, the associate at the countertop department was very nice and explained in great details. your customer order specialist Jessica was great in working with the contractor and us in in setting up countertop installation. Great job!

I had a great experience with Don, the floor specialist. He was nice and easy to talk with. I came in with a situation and need help quick. Don educated me about carpet type along with paddings. I didn't even know they have pet-friendly carpet! We took some samples back and forth, probably leaving our seats 5x and he followed, which was appreciated. We got an estimate quote and overall had a great experience.

I was helped by an employee in the direction that I needed to be in, very knowledgeable of products. I also needed a partial refund from a prior transaction, and JT at customer service was very helpful and made for a quick and easy transaction.

Bob at Milwork Desk provided service that was “above and beyond” my expectations

I was pleased to find what I was shopping for.

Even though the store was extremely busy, my needs were addressed without question and with a smile. Great store!

I recently moved and remodeled a condo. I chose Behr paint for all the interior painting. I was extremely disappointed in this product. I purchased Behr premium paints (paint and primer in 1). I primed many of the walls, doors, and trim prior to painting but still had to re-coat many surfaces two and three times to get good coverage. I feel like the paint does not contain enough pigmented color to satisfactorily cover any color or primed surface effectively.

Gal in the tile department helped me locate the tile I needed, loaded the cart for me in the store and then was nice enough to load the tile into my car.

The kitchen designer I worked with, Andrew Nguyen, was very patient and knowledgable. Andrew was creative in helping me figure out a challenging kitchen layout.

I came to the store on 4/18 and the gentleman in the paint dept, while nice, was not overly helpful nor engaging. Today, 4/22, Tristan was working and was extremely helpful. I was trying to find the amount of black in some paint samples and he ran the sample ratios so we could look at all the paint choices I had. He also got out the Behr paint sample book so we could look at additional options that weren't on the wall in the store.

We used the design service to create our basement bar. It was a fantastic experience and provided us with a beautiful design the met our needs.

We needed a new kitchen countertop and had a great experience. Making an appointment was fast and easy. Our sales associate, Ms. Fifi, was fantastic, friendly, helpful and really listened to our situation and what we needed. Very happy and would happily return to this store and to the specific associate.

I’m always finding what I need. I usually am able to find competent and friendly help in the store. I like the variety at HD. I wish this store was bigger and carried more patio furniture. The kitchen area is displayed so nice. I love the curbside service. It’s fast and the folks always helpful to load. The curbside app doesn’t scroll correctly on my iPhone, but that’s not in the store level to fix. Somehow I manage.

Bought some lumber today, and Derrick even cut it for us according to our exact specifications. Thanks Derrick! Would give him 10 stars if we could

Recently they’ve started having employees standing by the self-pay registers and checking people out, making small talk. Why have regular registers and self-pay if they’re all the same?

The Madison West store consistently has the friendliest most supportive customer service. The floor employees know the store and are helpful. I never feel like I'm an inconvenience when I have a question or need assistance!

I didn't know exactly what to buy. all were very helpful.

West Madison - Home Depot is by far the best home improvement store I have ever been to and I have been to plenty in my 56 years. The customer service and absolute product knowledge is superior. "People who care and there to help" that's my moto for this amazing store!

My wife and I have been building our new house by ourselves for the last 16 months and due to pandemic-induced supply issues, we decided to order our appliances from HD far earlier than one would normally do so because we weren't sure if we'd even get them by the time we needed to move in. Unfortunately because of a supply issue on cabinets (through a different company), we needed to return a microwave that would no longer fit in the new cabinet. The appliances had been delivered months earlier than our move-in date, and because the policy states that we only had 24 (48?) hours to return un-installed/new-in-the-box appliances after delivery, (by the way corporate leaders, this is an asinine policy during these uncertain times if you're trying to increase customer retention...), we had little hope of exchanging the microwave for one that would properly fit our needs. Fortunately, we encountered Erik, the Customer Experience Manager, who thoroughly explained the policies, and then went ahead and made us happy customers despite those policies. Erik ensured that we received full store credit for the microwave (~$350), which we then put towards a new Dewalt Miter Saw (~$650), a Dewalt saw stand (~$190), and a new Diablo saw blade (~$75). Had we had a poor experience, we'd likely have gone somewhere else for those items that we hadn't committed to purchasing yet. Bottom line, the suspension of the rules for our situation made us want to spend more money at HD. I am also moving some of my company's spending in these categories to HD from their competitors because of our positive experience. Thank you Erik and the staff at HD Madison West.
