Great experience with the store

We have working with a Home Depot Kitchener Designer and have had the most awesome experience. Our designer spent so much time with us, over several meetings, and worked with us to create a beautiful and detailed design. And it was far more affordable than a quote we got from a private company that charged us hundreds upfront for a design, spent only 1 session face to face & stopped calling when we said we didn't want custom cabinets.

Could do better on picking up the phone, waited 10 minutes and no one picked up so I hung up my phone. Wasn't busy when I went there in person to buy what I needed. Still, close by and got what I needed.

My internet was down and I decided to call and inquire about a wash machine. I was immediately transferred to a very knowledgeable, polite, and cheerful employee who answered an incredible amount of questions and process my order in record time. He made sure my delivery time was suited to my needs and truly cared that everything was to my satisfaction and explained everything in detail.Then, the delivery men were also outstanding! Once again, polite, on time, phoned 30 minutes ahead, knowledgeable, very respectful of my home, the appliance and myself. Made sure I understood everything and made sure I was satisfied. I’am blown away as this was the absolute best experience I have had. This was an expensive purchase and these people took the time, knew their stuff and really cared. I felt 100% confident of my purchase. Hats off to Home Depot for hiring such amazing human beings. So refreshing and I will absolutely make this my number one store

I was very nervous about the carpet buying process. Home Depot store #4909 in Madison and flooring specialist Cody Balsamo made the process simple and clear. He was friendly, helpful and patient with all my questions. I highly recommend Cody and this store to anyone thinking of purchasing carpet and installation.

The employees at this location are very helpful and personable. Always available to help out. You do not have to go searching for an employee to assist you like in some other Home Improvement Stores. I also like the variety of shopping carts that are available, for safely handling the different types of products that I purchase. Cashiers are efficient and always smiling. And,..I did not see any employees on their personal cell phones, like you often see in other businesses. Very refreshing!

I love that this store is stocked with a variety of options on most products, from gardening to fans to lighting and more!

No one can blame front line workers for the lack of leadership at this store. 95 percent of people who work here are good people. Unfortunately they are being led by a liar store manager named John and a lack of people skills assistant manager Jason. Their hardware manager Mark is personally responsible for more people quitting employment there than anyone. The state of Wisconsin awarded me unemployment after quitting because the state of Wisconsin recognized that the store reneged on an accommodation due to a Hardware manager who has no business supervising anyone. I only worked there 5 months but I heard believable stories dating back 8-10 years!!!! Home Depot has mandated their store policy in regards to store associates have them just below customers. Not so at this store. Store 4909 is just another top down authoritarian model complete with managers who have little skill in the Home Depot model.

I am severely disappointed in you're service. I ordered a Garage Door Installation on July 10. It is now July 25 and NOTHING has been done. Hardly and calls or any communication on to when they will fix my door. I will not be going back to this location.

Randy in plumbing is the best, he's SUPER knowledgeable. It's sometimes hard to track down an employee to help, but they're usually pleasant and helpful when you can. Long-time employees are a dream to work with because they really know their stuff.

Great customer service from the time i walked in, in the appliance dept. and at the cashier checkout! Two young men loaded my appliances into my car. As a senior, I appreciated all of the employees help and great customer service. Thank you! J Lynaugh 7/18/21

Some department mangers do not follow Home Depot Management principles. Jason, assistant manager has poor people skills, John the manager lies, Mark, manager of Hardware has no people skills and has a 8-10 year history of complaints from his people under him. How do I know these things? Because I worked there for five months. Most people there are good and decent people. Jason had me dressed down for wearing a collarless shirt and allowed others to go unchecked. He treated me so negatively for so long I had to ask for a meeting with my electrical department heard John Love. John the manager lied to me when I complained about the lack of people skills Mark in Hardware had and John told me one day I didn't have to work for Mark and then 5 days later without warning changed his tact without any consideration of my officially filed complaint to Home Depot. Home Depot also did not support me and didn't care that Mark in Hardware was not following Home Depot principles. I quit and was granted unemployment because Wisconsin Unemployment said Home Depot Renigged on it's agreement with me. Home Depot has a specific way that customers fall in the hierarchy then Store Associates. Nothing like that at Home Depot West Madison. It is a typical top-down organization with managers who have little or no people skills. They also lie like rugs!!!

I generally have good experiences at this store, but recently paid to have someone come to our home to do a measurement for some custom work. The contractor for this service didn’t seem very interested in the job and failed to complete the measurements within two months. After no updates for many weeks, we decided to go a different route for the project and made the purchase at another store that had a contractor come out on the same day of my inquiry. Use caution before paying for contractor work.

We have been remodeling a home for a few months and are at this location a couple times a week. This store has a very noticeable amount of employees available on the floor to help answer questions, which is very important! They have been extremely patient with these questions and knowledgeable. We are very pleased with the products that we've purchased which include tools (drills, saws), lumber, paint, bathroom products (shower, toilet, lighting, sink & cabinet). We have made some mistakes along the way and have had to return and exchange items. That process has gone very smoothly. I highly recommend this store.

I recently went to the Home Depot located on the west side of Madison. Since this was a second trip in the same day to return an item we thought would work, Al from plumbing was extremely knowledgeable and was able to direct us to exactly what we needed. Oniqua helped us to return the items we thought would work and Maseeh was extremely fast and efficient at checking us out so we could put the right part to use.

Char, the man and woman in the "garden hose" aisle AND the two young guys, Armani and Adrian who helped me to my car. What an AWESOME crew!! Outstanding customer service!!! But, more than that..... a sincere dedication to their work and their customers, who they treat like family. I was really impressed!

The cashier Regina is the worst!! She laughed and rolled her eyes every time I asked a question! She THREW MY RECEIPT ON THE GROUND & TOLD ME TO PICK IT UP!!! she has the most disgusting behavior! Do not go to her checkout line unless you want nasty attitude and your receipt & BAGS thrown on the ground!!!!

Customer service desk was super courteous and made a product return/exchange process easy.

We always go to The Home Depot to get our annual flowers, as they have better looking plants, hanging planters and also pots of flowers with different colors and things in them. Other places usually only have one kind of flower in their pots and hangers, boring. Also when we remodeled our bathrooms, we got sinks, faucets and toilets at Home Depot. Better name brands there and good quality than at the cheaper places. Won't mention their name....
