Bought some craft & shipping materials here as a freelance artist, and found most everything I needed! They have bubble wrap, shrink wrap, painters tape, and other things that can help you when creating & shipping paintings.

It's not like shopping at your average hardware store. They have 'everything' you need for your home at this HomeDepot and more. The employees are all over to help out if you need it and very polite too. I feel very comfortable shopping here often as I need things.

The associates are always very friendly and helpful.

it seems that this store is understaffed, it's hard to find help while shopping. They are always friendly once you find an associate.

Good points: Employees within the store, friendly, helpful and available. Each area the employee knew exactly where product was located and good knowledge when asked a question. We were looking for nails for the nail gun, furnace filters, flooring, lights, paddle fans, cabinets, appliances. Purchased it all except for the paddle fans/lights. At 75, moved slowly, but one young man Mike went over and above the duty for me and was happy to do it. Oh almost forgot, left my new gloves in the cart, and they saved them for me. Bad Points: Was not impressed with lights/ceiling fan area. Was not happy to see only one check out person.VA 10% did not apply to appliances. Very few floor samples.

Since retiring to this area 13 yrs ago I have visited this store for materials and advice over 50 times or 4-5/year. It is located 45 miles away. The big difference from other big box stores and brands has been the knowledge of their customer service employees and the “customer comes first” attitude in giving me the best service and value, especially with promotional offers.

This Home Depot in Alpena is bigger, cleaner, better stocked, and the employees are better trained in the knowledge of their products. Had no issues with getting the help we needed.

Bill in the window and door department was very friendly and helpful. He gave me options to decide on my purchase. Great asset to the company.

Very clean, helpful staff! Didn’t have to look all over for help! They were on the floor working! Unlike other Home Depot s were the staff was hiding and talking to each other!

Awful shopping experience, more than once. Select employees are rude and not helpful, management/store items are not accounted for and its just a mess for the number of in stock vs stock on order coming in or going out unaccounted for. But quality of specific items and the way they come in (broke, etc) not acceptable. Seems to happen over and over. Granted there are a great handful of employees that are very helpful and friendly - always nice to see them.

Mamagement cares and it is reflected in overall quality of employees and operations. This store runs like a well oiled machine. Always there and always knowledgeable within their respective departments.

Salespeople are always extremely helpful with answers to questions asked. Available without being shadowed. I’ve left some stores when salespeople are hovering.
