Nancy, cashier in the Garden Center is one of the kindest, caring people you'll encounter, anywhere. Mgr Gerald responds rapidly to customer requests and is almost (lol) as nice as Nancy. Great store, Nancy will make you feel as if she's known you forever.

Late last night, my water heater began leaking a steady stream of water out of the bottom. Panicking that stores would be closed at 8:50 pm, I had my wife call Home Depot to verify in-store availability and hours. I was amazed and relieved that my LP fuel model was in stock. With the current water heater draining with a hose, gas shut off, water shut off, we rushed to Home Depot, made the purchase, and purchased the 5-year extended warranty as suggested by a very friendly sales associate Nour. I knew I had one year left on the warranty but couldn't call Rheem for approval last night. Today, I got approval from Rheem and went to Home Depot to return the failed one under warranty. I was a little disappointed to learn that I would receive a store credit ($810.79) on a gift card, but I understood and was grateful it wasn't prorated. Then out of nowhere (perhaps earshot), an associate named Nabeel walked over to Curtis and explained that Curtis could return the purchase last night and re-ring the purchase using the gift card and having me pay the difference of the new item. As Curtis discovered, the difference was around $150 more, so he graciously credited me $50 to help out. My wife and I were already down with our late-night emergency and significant expense, and then our expectations were continuously exceeded. Nabeel heartfully thought about my best interest as a customer, and I thanked him. I've been in administration for several years and respectfully suggest that Home Depot consider promoting Nabeel to management. He is a retail "hero" and would be a great asset to any company. Efforts like this earn and retain lifetime relationships. I think his critical thinking and empathy inspired Curtis, and my journey began with Nour late last night. I honestly never had this great of an experience with Home Depot or other retail stores and wanted to elevate this outstanding experience. Thank you, El Cajon Home Depot team!

store fairly clean..a few areas have available sales associates, other areas lacking help or knowledgeable sales people. some parts bins have mixed merchandise... best example fastener department (both individual and packaged) but this is prevalent thought many departments I go thru.. bottom line, you need more staff. and more knowledgeable staff. can't find them?...then raise wages to attract better people to fill those slots.

This Home Depot on Magnolia Avenue is Great and Fantastic

I just received excellent customer service from Lucille, Lucille and Renee! They helped me with everything I needed to order, the amounts necessary, the delivery , all of it. Everything I needed was in stock. Great experience today.

Never enough help. Check out is ridiculous. Today before noon on a weekday the line stretched the entire width of the store. That just idiocy. Not worth waiting for a few things......

great help from the moment we step into the store, we were handed a special sale sheet of product that were on sale.we were looking for solar malibu lites on sale for $3.88 that our regular home depot in Lemon Grove ran out of and we were directed to El cajon store were we found what we needed and purchase a case of 12 lite for our home.they staff were friendly and informative and help us find our product and up grade our credit card for a maximum return to us. great work you guys,Tia and Ben ,from the pro shop services,

Customer service and availability of supplies are impeccable.

Inconsistent customer service quality. Select customers are asked if they are interested in The home Depot credit card. But not others. Some cashiers are much friendlier than others. There should be consistency in the level of quality customer service. A long time ago I used to work for a competitor store, And at least we were taught to provide the same level of quality customer service to our customers especially if we were not busy at the time. It's just consistency is what it is.

Store employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Nice size Home Depot and laid out well. The garden area entrance is now accessible (post-covid) which is nice and makes getting in and out easier.

I was shopping for numerous items, including one gutter spike, 7". Allen, or Alan, showed me a bag of them, for $11.00. I explained that I need only one. Your associate went to a different department, found one each spike, came back to where I was, showed it to me as a reasonable replacement. This is outstanding customer service!

Home Depot rocks. They really try to take good care of their customers. If you've ever been to the Pro-Desk and met a lady named FUNKE, then you know why I love this particular store. She is an amazing person that goes above and beyond to help her customers. AMAZING!

Wow! I had a great experience on 3/11, Thursday as I returned to check on a chest freezer that had been on display the previous weekend. At first I couldn't find it so I inquired in the Appliance Department and was referred to, I believe a manager (Gerard?). He was very friendly and helpful along with one of his salesperson. They had one freezer left which had some minor damage and Gerard said he could give me a good discount if I was interested. I purchased it and they quickly took care of the rest, rang it up, took it to the front after I pulled my truck up to the loading area, loaded it and secured it. This was truly amazing customer service!

Great experience.... Olufunke, was very helpful and friendly.

The self checkout is ridiculous. The employees don't have to touch our stuff but then I had to touch the scanner gun (yuck, never saw it cleaned), had to touch the touchscreen (once again, never saw it cleaned), and lastly, had to actually touch the pin pad to insert my credit card (those things are gross, why don't you have the touchless ones???) The lady supervising the checkout area wasn't very helpful and the whole process was ridiculous, in my opinion. And the associates back in the yard trimmer area, one gentleman was very nice, and another gentleman totally tried to talk us out of our purchase (buying a battery powered weed trimmer) and tried to talk us into a gas powered trimmer, not at all what we came for or were planning for and in my opinion again, very rude of him!!! We didn't ask for his opinion at all!!!

TIA WAS TRAINING A NEW EMPLOYEE ISIAH AND WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND EFFIECIENT.

Staff was very helpful and Olufunke at check out was pleasant as can be. She wanted to make sure I was having a good day. Excellent shopping experience because of her. Thanks for a good ending to my day Olufunke!!
