You should inform the customers when they're buying any item to be shipped, specially if those items total more that $2900 that you do not ship from the store but from the manufacturer. That could be ANYWHERE in the US and anything could affect the time of delivery PROMISED. When a customer buys an item from the store to be shipped, it is expected that that item is stocked AT THE STORE. If not, inform the customer because then they should be afforded the courtesy to go somewhere else if desired. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE

Asked for help loading 40 cases of laminate (I'm a petite female) and was told I have to do it myself. Cashier asked me for ID but then didn't ask my boyfriend for any - lack of consistency, sexism? Not sure which one it was. When I went to grab my ID to switch the purchase from his card to mine, was told I had to go to the returns line. Waited for 30 minutes in the returns line because they had 1 rep working a line of 8+ customers. I rarely complain but the customers in line and I couldn't take it anymore so I asked one of the lazy employees doing nothing at a nearby register for help. She rudely told me to get back in the returns line and then talked about me to the other lazy employee standing next to her who asked her what I wanted. I then went back to the returns lady and asked if she could call someone else to help her. She looked like I was speaking another language and did nothing. Finally after another 15 minutes of grumbling from our line, the lazy employee started calling people to her register. It was eventually my turn at the register and I asked the girl to switch the purchase over to my card. She tells me she can't do that unless I bring back in the 40 heavy cases of laminate that I just loaded into my car for her to return. How does this make sense??? I asked her to call her manager who confirms that she can do exactly what I asked without me having to bring back in the 40 cases of laminate I just bought and loaded because that's just silly (how do I know more about what a Home Depot employee can do than the Home Depot employee herself?). She asked for my ID and then told me I didn't look like my picture and that my card didn't have a name on it. I tell her I'm not wearing makeup and to flip my credit card around... how incompetent can one person be??
