A:  You would have to undo the connections inside the box. The connector has to be installed in the box before the wire goes through it. Any other way can potentially damage the outside of the wire.

A:  Generally NO. If you install it from the inside the strain relief fingers will be pointing the wrong way and that defeats the purpose of the device. It might be possible to push the largest end of the device through the box hole and have the fingers pointing to the inside, but I would think that is not very likely.

A:  Yes, but it would defeat it's purpose by installing it that way, the cables would be able to be pulled out of the box as these holds the cables from being pulled out.

A:  NO Besides its easier from the outside.

A:  They need to be installed in the feed direction of the wire. It may be possible to bend one of these around and install it from inside the box but it should face the correct direction

A:  Yes, any 3/8" hole

A:  Yes they will fit any 3/8 inch hole, I have used them on both plastic and metal boxes.

A:  I don't believe they will work on plastic enclosures as these would be too thick although I have not tried to do that.

A:  Yes with the metal but not needed with the plastic.
