Silverton 36 in. x 66 in. Semi-Frameless Pivot Shower Door in Nickel with Ojo Glass

I purchased this door along with the Delta 400 shower base and three-wall surround. Although the door looks nice and the installation instructions are good, there are some issues with this door. This door is only 66 inches to the top of the frame which, means the average person has to duck to get in the shower. When I asked at Home Depot why that was the highest door they sold for that shower, I was told to contact Delta. Delta told me that they make the door to Home Depot’s specifications, which was 66 inches high (H.D, also has a 64 ¾ inch door). The Delta representative also suggested I go to a place that makes custom shower doors that would go an additional 4 inches to the top of the shower surround. I had to make a panel to go above the door to keep water from splashing onto the floor over the top of the door when showering. In addition, when installing the shower door, the head of the screws that attach the strike jam to the wall jam sheared off. Luckily, enough of the screw was still protruding that it could be removed with vise grip pliers. Since there were no extra screws provided, new stainless steel screws had to be purchased at the local hardware store. The main caveat for this shower door, however, remains its height.
