Will this slide into a 30 inch opening?

Asked by: Jon
Yes. Our opening was exactly 30" and it fit right in. It's actually about 29 3/4" wide.

I have been less than satisfied with its performance. To start, I noticed that when using the oven my baked items were under-cooked . I bought an analog oven thermometer and discovered that when the preheat signal toned as being heated to the chosen temperature was off by -50 degrees. So when it said it was 350 degrees, in reality was 300 degrees. The signal goes off prematurely, not properly calculated. I need to wait until the analog oven thermometer shows the proper temperature before baking. The "Burner on" LED failed 3 months later, no indication if any burners are in operation or left on accidentally. Lastly, the large burner was touchy to its settings. Put the dial on "low" which clicks in place, actually shuts the burner off. Beware of this model.

Bought this range along with a refrigerator since my refrigerator was slowing dying and I wanted a convection oven, so I went for it! Glad I purchased both items. I am learning to use convection and I like the choice. Sometimes we just have to upgrade whether we want to or not. Great customer service and delivery staff!

We like the design and the thought that went into things like the large or small option burners, the warming element and the convection feature. The controls are fairly intuitive so it doesn't take long to figure out how to operate it. Small things like the placement of the oven light in the front rather than buried in the back lights up the compartment better and will be easy to reach for bulb replacement. One odd thing is you have to hit a start button after selecting which oven element you want to use to get it to turn on rather than just selecting bake or broiler, or convection functions and setting the temp. That fouled us up at first.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Different size burners within one and warming elem I purchased this range in March, and one of the burners does not work properly. It does not go to lower settings. The highest heat level comes on event when set at the lowest level. Also, the light that lets you know the burner is hot does not go off when the burner cools down. I already had to call for maintenance to fix what is supposed to be a new stove. I resent having to take off work. I never had this problem with GE products in the past. I am very disappointed.

Online purchase was easy and delivery was handled well. However, even though the delivery guys installed the stove and turned on the burners to make sure they worked, they missed the fact that the oven light did not turn on. Called the service number and was sent a replacement bulb which also didn't light. Took another few days to arrange for someone to come out, pull the stove apart, find the problem and fix it. I like the stove, but some of my pots and pans don't work well on the ceramic smoothtop. Last stove had coil burners. If your pans have slightly rounded bottoms or raised ridges, they may dance/rock wildly on the hot burners or not heat evenly.

Exactly what we wanted, great price, many features. cook top has warming feature which we have already used. Oven cooks well, did brownies and cake evenly. Finish is nice. Does not come with broiling racks (none that we looked at did.) If you are replacing you should save your old racks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Oven is great I bought this stove two months ago to replace a 13 year old GE coil burner stove, which was starting to have problems. I first got a new coil burner stove but the oven was defective and the overall quality was not as good as my old one. With some reluctance, I got this one as a replacement. This one doesn't look cheap and the oven with the convection option is great. The big problem is the stove top doesn't give you a simmer option. I make large pots of beans, braise tougher grass fed beef roasts, etc. There is no burner setting that allows a good hours long simmer. Food either boils up and runs over, or sits there not cooking, so I have to watch it closely for however many hours it's cooking. My old GE stove worked perfectly for simmering, and I can't imagine why they changed this to eliminate that option. I would only recommend this model if you never want to simmer food, sauces, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice! This stove heats up really fast and cooks perfectly. You can't go wrong with this one!
