Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stylish and a great value One of the lowest price Stainless Steel wall ovens we found. Easy to install and looks stylish. It's not convection, but I read that convection is not good for baking pastries due to the fan blowing on the goodies so we didn't want convection anyway. Cons: The first time you use it, it may smell funny. New smell? There's no light switch. You must crack the door open if you want to see the status of the baking. There's a bottom vent that is not completely covered. It's black so isn't that noticeable. Looks like a muffler on a car. Could have been nicer with a Vent cover with small holes. August 1, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by slowest pre-heat EVER The control panel feels/looks cheap and the oven takes FOREVER to pre-heat. I even tried turning on the broiler first to get it heated as the standard element is hidden. After heating the oven for a while with the broiler and switching to bake, it still took just as long after switching to get to pre-heat setting as if the oven was room temperature when I switched them to bake. The oven does look nice, I just hate to use it since it takes so long to heat. The oven I replaced was a much better oven at 20 years old than this one will ever be. it was just UGLY. March 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bakes evenly and consistently, looks good in kitchen Most of the wall ovens are quite expensive and really all an oven should do is stay as close to the set point temperature as possible. This GE wall oven doesn't have all the "extra" features, but it stays at temperature and costs almost half what most wall ovens cost. One feature that is has is really well thought out, the timer doesn't just chirp once when it goes off, it chirps loudly then softly every ten seconds until you turn it off. Sometimes you just aren't in the kitchen when the timer goes off and you forget. The only feature I am not pleased with so far is the length of time the fan runs after the oven is turned off, but it is not too noisy as some others report. We did have to run it 4 hours at 550 degrees to "bake off" the "new" smell. I installed this oven myself by having the delivery men set the oven on a cart in front of the wall oven opening so I did not have to have anyone help pick it up after connecting the wires I just slid it into place. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good oven for the price My 15 year old GE oven started giving problems with the keypad/cables (F7) so I decided it was time to replace it with a newer model. Installation was straightforward except the existing gas valve behind the oven interfered with the back of the oven. The valve had to be removed to get the oven to fit flush. This oven takes much longer to reach operating temperatures because of the hidden element. To get to 450 deg, mine took over 20 minutes. I understand this is normal, but it takes a lot longer than my old one. The lack of a light switch is dissapointing. You must open the door to turn it on. December 23, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Basic model works fine This is a replacement for a seven year old GE that expired prematurely. September 18, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by No light switch This oven was not cheap, although not top of the line either, but for a moderately priced oven, we were sadly disappointed to find out, after the fact, that this model does not a have a light switch. The only way to turn the light on and check your food is to open the door, and you do not have to be a professionally trained chef to know that you do not open the oven door while baking! The first thing we looked for after installation was a light switch, so that we could turn the light on, look inside and admire our new oven, and surprise, no light switch, needless to say, we have since fallen out of love with our new oven. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Consistent Appliance We had some troubles initially. There was a loud rattle upon installation. The GE mechanic came out and couldn't tell what was wrong with it. He assumed the fan, and ordered a new one to be shipped to me. He then installed it a few days later. He said there was nothing wrong with the original fan once he removed it, but I haven't had any rattling noises since the new one was installed. I was skeptical that this oven would be any good since we had these problems right from the start, but I've been happy with it's production. One other comment: it seems to cook things much quicker than recipes call for - so I've learned to minimize the time. Not sure if that's because it's so new or not? July 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Oven I've had this oven for about 2 months. Not only does it look nice, it cooks nice. It's larger on the inside than my previous Profile. I would order this again! August 4, 2015
