A:  HI Maggi - Thanks for asking. You will not need a trellis for Chicklet™ Orange Esperanza (Tecoma). It is a long-blooming non-invasive, dwarf compact shrub. Works well in both containers and the landscape, blooms on new wood and attracts pollinators. Prune is not necessary but can be done to shape if desired in early spring. As always, please feel free to reach out to us at any time with any plant questions or concerns. 4.5” Plant - BAD
Ordered two of the 1-gallon size, which were fine. Ordered four of the 4.5” plants for other spaces in the garden. Proven Winners’ nursery in Michigan sent three that were fine and one that was terribly stunted and damaged - I thing they just shoved a broken branch in a pot and sent that to me. Nobody would have chosen this sorry-looking plant to buy and if I didn’t live so far from the Home Depot, I’d return it in a heartbeat. I wasted my money and would not online order PW plants again.

Response from Proven WinnersApr 23, 2024
Thank you for your review. We are sorry your order did not meet your expectations. We want you to receive the healthiest, most beautiful Proven Winners plants possible. We guarantee that all plants are healthy and vigorous when they leave our greenhouse. However, as living things, plants always have the potential to become stressed or damaged during shipping. The good news is that this is almost always only a cosmetic issue, that does not impact a plant’s overall health, because they have a strong root system. Please email us at helpdesk@provenwinnersdirect.com and provide us your order number along with photos of the damaged plants. We look forward to hearing from you.
            Kind regards,
            Cori -- Proven Winners Direct
Expected my order to be dormant. Happily they arrived full foliage and with a few honeysuckles! Pleasantly surprised! Will absolutely order from Proven Winners again.
