Wheels showing

I have this fridge and the metal wheels on the bottom of the fridge show. There is no grate that covers the gap between the bottom of the fridge and the floor like most fridges have. What can I do to fix this? I would prefer not to paint them.
Asked by: Aaron
Perhaps a nice rug in front would distract from the wheels. I placed mine in my garage; although, I don't recall seeing my wheels.

why does the ice maker frost up and stop making ice

Asked by: glenda
I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your RF260BEAEBC. Following are the suggestions found in the Troubleshooting Guide on Samsung's website: If you have frost in the ice bucket, warm air is entering the ice bucket compartment. Please check the items below. Note: The most like cause of this is that the left side door is not properly aligned. - Open the right side door only. Look inside the refrigerator at the closed left side door. Check for a gap between the ice bucket and the ice chute, which is part of the door. The gasket should sit flush up against the ice bucket. If there is a gap, warm air from the refrigerator compartment will enter the ice maker compartment and cause frost. To correct this condition, level your refrigerator, and adjust the doors. For instructions on how to level your refrigerator and adjust the doors, please refer to the user manual. - If the flap on the ice dispenser is not closing properly, it allow's warm air to enter the ice maker compartment, and causes frost build up in the ice maker compartment. To check the flap, open the left side door, and look at the black flap inside the ice chute. If the flap is in the correct position, it is flush against the housing. If the flap is not flush with the housing, check for ice, or any other debris, that may be keeping the flap open. Images that help to illustrate the above can be found in the Troubleshooting Guide article. I'm not able to include those images here, so please refer to Samsung's website for these illustrations, if necessary. Thank you, Ms. Samsung

can the unit be safely placed directly next to an oven?

that is the present configuration -- an old amana sits directly next to an oven w/ no ill effects.
Asked by: fidelio
Hi Fidelio, Samsung recommends leaving at least 3/8" clearance on the sides of the RF260BEAEBC, between the Refrigerator and surrounding surfaces. In addition, the Refrigerator shouldn't be installed near a heat source. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

The delivery people put the doors on wrong and left the some of the plastic on it. We had scratches and a dent. Then it started popping and cracking and making loud noises it even woke my husband up at 4am, and no it wasn't the ice maker, because we didn't have it hooked up. I worked with several nice people from Samsung and finally when it started sounding like a gun going off, I called and said, yes, I know this call is being recorded and if my house catches on fire, Samsung will be buying me a new house. This was on Tuesday, we had a new refrigerator by Friday. It still makes noises, but not as loud.

My fridge (in black stainless) was delivered five days ago and so far I am very pleased. It is really attractive and compliments my stainless steel appliances. Delivery was scheduled in a 9-11am window. They showed up at 9:04, set up the fridge, handed me my manuals and wished me a good day. So far I love the fridge. It replaces a side-by-side and I love the improved layout. The LED light is far brighter than what I had in prior fridges. The ice maker produces abundant ice. I like the digital controls and the pantry drawer, which allows me to chill meat at a cooler temp than other foods. On a cosmetic note, it doesn't show fingerprints that easily and it holds magnets! Why I chose this one over the LG LFCS25426S: The bins in the LG are different sizes which means they are not easily interchangeable or moveable. In particular, the one at the bottom of each door of the LG is tiny, because it has to compete for space with the pantry drawer. In the Samsung all of the bins are the same, gallon size. I also noticed that you can pull out the freezer drawer farther, and get better visibility, in the Samsung. Other considerations: FILTERS: I didn't want to deal with a water filter but the Home Depot employee told me that if you have good water, you can buy a bypass plug and not use filters. I have not purchased one yet but they are supposed to be available online. NOISE: Yes this fridge makes noise. A couple times in a day it makes a low, sharp POP or CRACK sound. Sometimes I hear water. My old fridge also made noises but these are sharper, and different. It's not like they interrupt your conversation or drown out the TV, but you hear this sound and then realize "oh, that was the fridge." WHEELS: If you have pets you will have a huge accumulation of stuff under this fridge, because there is no plastic screen or deflector at the bottom to keep stuff from sliding underneath. I put a piece of trim underneath to catch the toys. DOORS: When they are done with the install make sure to look at the doors and check that they are even. When mine was set up, one door was a good 1/2 inch higher than the other. Easy fix with a screwdriver, but I am glad the technician did it, not me. The only reason I gave this fridge four stars is because I am a little scared by some of the negative reviews I have seen. After only a week I have no idea whether it will hold up or fail. However there were enough positive reviews and superior features, for me to take a chance. I will update if anything changes.

This fridge looks great but unless you like sounds of shotguns going off all day and night from the cooling units, I don't recommend getting it. Not only that, Home Depot won't refund money or even exchange it claiming it is 'normal'. A fridge that wakes you up at night because it sounds like someone is breaking into your house in not 'normal.'

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of garbage - DO NOT BUY This was broken out of the box. The delivery people plugged it in and did not bother to check and see if the refrigerator was working. They picked up the old one (which was working) and left. After a couple of hours, I noticed that the frig is not working at all. I unplugged and replug it back again and it started making some noise which indicated perhaps something is working. After five hours, I gave up. Nothing is happening and there is no cooling. I have spend a few hours trying to contact Home Depot to no avail. I get put on hold for 20 to 30 minutes and get dropped off the call. I tried the chat but he was no help. It has been extremely frustrating to try to return this junk and get my money back.

This refrigerator has frighteningly loud popping noises that randomly occur 24/7. The noise is so loud, it wakes us up at night (it is not the ice maker). Samsung says the noise occurs with every refrigerator - NOT!!! The most disappointing part is Home Depot refused to get involved with resolving this problem. As a very frequent HD shopper, I was surprised at their suggestion that I shop at Lowe's in the future if I want better Customer Service. I have now converted to being a devout Lowe's customer.

I just have spent $400 to fix this refrigerator after less than 2 years of purchase. About 1 year ago, ice maker stop working. Online solution told me that to push re-set button right under ice maker....nothing tapped....so I was out of ice for 1 year. Repair person told me today that ice maker motor was not function at all. About 2 month ago, refrigerator started making horrible noise. Online solution said unplug 2 hours or so to re-set. It did fix noise. But refrigerator started to sweat a lot so that most of vegetable and fruits were getting moldy in a couple day. Then I noticed refrigerator temp does not go down more than 54F....Finally I called servicemen. It turned out original drain pipe was clogged by poor design. No water was going through and backed up water stated freezing all over and finally affecting fan behind panel. Serviceman replaced original parts and ice maker. I paid $400...I purchesed this at $1100, 2 years ago. I should have bought high end one from the beginning.
