Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gnslngr I really like this door...
I recommend installing per the instructions in the video, but, keep in mind that it's the hinge side that bears the weight, so measurements dictate you move to one side or the other, make sure it's the hinge side that gets the best bite in the door frame.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jean This door looks great on my house.
This door looks as good as I anticipated it would, but was a bit difficult to install, due to the type of bolts required for security doors. Also, it does not provide the sealing around the door that a screen door would provide, and that was disappointing. However, the gaps can be closed with foam edging, which helps tremendously.

Stellar quality & style! Bought two for the side of the house and because they reverse I was able to have the sun sprays fan outward. All the neighbors are envious and being in an urban area these suit the security purpose without looking ghetto...

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Agnomad74 Secure, attractive door at an affordable price.
First off, let me say that I purchased this door with the specific intent of refinishing it before installation.
Good welds at all points
Strong lockset box
Good overlap at door latch pry points
Attractive - doesn't look like bars on the door
Excellent value for the price
Shipped in extremely flimsy container
Inner mesh screen is not attached to exterior crossbars
Factory finish is easily scratched and marred
When I received this door, I uncrated it, wiped all the pieces down with Jasco, then lightly buffed them all with 80-grit sandpaper. I then sprayed it with four coats of Krylon exterior gloss spray paint in bright red. During the painting process, I became intimately familiar with all the surfaces of each part. It is extremely well made. The only issue I had with the structural design of the door is that the interior steel mesh should have been spot-welded to the exterior crossbars, preferably at a 12" interval. Because it is not secured, my door had been pressed against the corner of some other object during the shipping process, and there is a dent/crease in the inner steel mesh in the upper left corner of the door. It is not significant, but it was unnecessary. And irritating.
The installation was straightforward, and required only blocks of the correct height to hold the door at the correct level for easy one-man installation. Be SURE to secure the door trim before you mount the security door to it. I used seven 5" screws (in pre-drilled holes) down each side of the door, and four across the top. The door mounts solidly with the included anti-tamper bolts, and I believe the only way to remove it from the outside would be to run a chain from a vehicle and yank it off.
The original finish was not of the same quality as the construction. It had been marred in several places during shipping, and I scratched it in two places while removing it from the cardboard shipping crate. I strongly recommend refinishing the door to match or contrast your home color, and to protect against rust. I believe rust would be a problem with the original finish, especially around the hardware box, where the other keys on your ring would contact the door while unlocking your locks.
I would recommend this door to others.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by groover A great alternative to a screen door.
Overall easy to install, but unit should come with nut driver if you want to use the screws provided. Home Depot does not carry the one-way only driver bit and you need a very large screwdriver for the install. Doorknob plate was not welded in square, so the lower lockset latch didn't make a secure hold and the left frame had to be closer to the door.

Door looks great. Installation could have been easier but for the fact that the door included a unique specialty screw/bolt but did not include the special tool needed to use screw/bolt. Had trouble finding similar screws/bolts for door but had to improvise. Steel door is great during summer and if you have pets or small children and for security. The inability to replace or put in a window may be a problem during the winter as the door is of no use to stop snow or cold air from coming into house as other security door with a glass pane can do. Had major problem with having door delivered to my house too. Overall, I like the door. You pay for what you get!

Purchased this door as well as matching double door. They are absolute garbage. Poor build resulted in them taking hours to be installed by a professional and still do not fit correctly. Already started rusting within a week.

I purchased a security double door for my patio. I paid for a perforated look. The look where when the curtains is opened you won't be able to see in the house. But you can. I was looking for that look where you can see what is going on outside but a person can not see what's going on in the inside of your house unless your lights are on. That look you can see them but they can not see you.
