Answer:
The weight is not as important as handling ladders safely. I trained on a Fire Department, and I recommend 2 people to handle any size extension ladder.

Answer:
I haven't weighed mine. I would estimate approximately 20 pounds. The ladder seems very lite when carrying it from the middle/balance point. In addition, it features pulleys with ropes attached to help with extension in the vertical position with ease. Weight should be stated in the specification area of the product description page on the item's web site page.

Answer:
I haven't honestly measured mine although I'm sure it's mentioned (just as weight probably is) in the "specifications" in the web site's description of the item. I would estimate it to be about 24"-30".

Answer:
I would say "length" refers to the ladder's length at full extension (17'); Whereas, "Reach" would add two (2) feet by having a person on the ladder at full extension "Reaching" out to a safe distance (2'+17'=19').

Answer:
The maximum ladder lenght of 17 feet is the length of the ladder when it is extended to its maximum. The maximum reach lenght would be the length that the average person can safely reach to work when standing at the highest maximum point. This takes into height of the user and the arm's reach from that point.

Wow, that's high! Even a 28' ladder would be fine to change the bulb maybe, but to do an install you'll be pinned to the ladder even on a 28' so as not to fall off...if you want to use both hands. Answer:
The max reach when using a 20ft extension ladder is 19ft. In order to reach a height of 24ft you would need a 28ft step ladder which gives you a max reach of 27ft.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 70 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 20 ft ladder Looks heavy duty construction and very lightweight September 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fine for gutter cleaning, repair or painting I only needed to extend it 5' to reach my older home's gutters, so I wasn't too concerned about its 225 lb rating though I'm 210 lbs myself. If they stocked a 250 lb or 300 lb rated 20' aluminum ladder I'd of bought one but they don't (4 weeks to ship). I was prepared to return it but tried it and kept using it for hours. It ain't gonna break with just me on it. It feels sturdy yet its 37 lb product weight does not begin to tire me. ***Note: At work once I left a 24' aluminum ladder unattended and extended in medium strong wind and it blew down. Lightweight is light weight. Fortunately it didn't hit anything except the flat ground.*** June 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase The ladder is light weight and yet sturdy and perfect for me. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent ladder at good discounted price This ladder is sturdy but lightweight, the price was marked down to the same as the 16' version, I'm happy with the product and price. June 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solid ladder Good ladder. Not a cheap aluminum ladder. Built well like most of Werner ladders. Solid. Would have preferred fiberglass, but couldn't afford it. Professional construction hand for 45 years. I like my ladder.Good purchase. February 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lightweight & sturdy Have used already to clean leaves out of my gutters. Was able to move and handle ladder myself. I only weigh 155 lbs. Not sure I would feel as comfortable on this ladder at 225 lbs. On uneven ground you definitely need someone to hold latter in place and as indicated online you need to get a ladder that is 4 to 6 ft higher than the height level you want to work at.. February 27, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Usual problem with purchasing ladders One of the sides had a tear in it. Could not see it when I bought it. It cut my hand the first time I came down the ladder. Just like most of the ladders I get at Home Depot, always some small but critical nnot right. January 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific Ladder for Projects Around the House This ladder was discounted 21% and shipped right to my door for free......thank you Home Depot for a terrific bargain. December 31, 2013
