Since I received two OPPOSING responses to my question, WHICH ONE IS TRUE?

If the REAL answer is that you cannot leave these racks in the oven, does this manufacturer make the porcelain-coated racks that CAN be left in the oven during the cleaning cycle??????????????
Thank you.

When the repair tech came to repair my oven he reminded me that you CAN NOT keep the racks in the oven otherwise it will remove the shiny coating on them. I don't know about the porcelain racks

6.2 cu. ft. Electric Range with Self-Cleaning Convection Oven in White Ice is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 868.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Aqualift Self Clean is HORRIBLE I bought this model over a year ago. Hadn't used the oven very much. I just recently had to clean the oven. I followed the directions of removing the racks (they needed cleaning too), put the water in the bottom & turned it on for the 40 mins it recommends. When the cycle was complete, I still had to scrub to get it clean. I am used to self cleaning ovens that get hot enough to incinerate the "mess" into a grey powder that you can just wipe off. This cycle actually baked the grime on so it had to be scrubbed /scraped off. If you use/clean your oven often, this is NOT the model for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features; excellent product Best cooking range that I've used for cooking. I've used the different cooking rings for stovetop cooking. I love the dual rings for cooking size; no problem in figuring out which knobs to turn and in which direction. As for the oven, I love the size of the oven; the convection, baking and broiling features; the hidden oven heating elements; the large window on the oven door; and the three racks, one of which is a split rack. I've cooked the Christmas ham and turkey and sides in it. It worked great for those foods and for food for everyday meals. I've baked cakes and cookies in it. All turned out well. The other night I cooked a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies and fit all four cookies sheets in the oven at the same time. As for the drawer space under the oven, I have enough space to keep five cookie sheets, two 24-cup mini muffin pans, and two pizza pans nestled in there to maximize drawer space. Would I have tried to keep pots and pans in that space? No, they would not have fit, but the drawer works for the type of pans that I keep in there. I haven't used the aqua lift cleaning feature yet for the oven, but the stove top cleaner that came with it works fine to keep the stove top clean. As for the installation, my brother the electrician installed the oven and double checked the wires and electrical strength coming from the circuit breaker box. After much review of many ranges, I'm glad that I went with this oven. I hope to get many years out of it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, so far So far this range has worked well. It seems to heat up quickly. I would like to warn the reader hat the cook areas of the top of range are sometimes hard to see, unless you have a lot of light. It hasn't been a problem for me, but wife would have returned the range, if she could have, just because she is having a hard time seeing the cooking areas. Of course when the element is heating you can see the red of the element but not the cooking circles. Before you purchase this range make sure it will not be problem for you!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cleaning I love the look of this oven it matches the refrigerator I purchased . I had a ten year old oven and when my older oven cleaned it left ashes from the soil . this oven is disappointing in its cleaning function. If you have grease from cooking the aqua cleaning system only heats the water but the grease does not come off until you actually go inside and scrape or wipe the interior off you may as well not have a self cleanIng. Additionally the electric element. At the top of the oven must be physically removed by taking screws out to clean the top of the oven Had I known how difficult it would be to clean the oven I would not purchased it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Whirlpool Convection great but... We love this stove with one serious complaint...the black Ceran top is impossible to keep clean. We have two scuffs from the first week. I will admit I have never owned a ceramic top stove before and the old electric coil stove was easy to clean and took a lot of abuse. We changed stoves primarily to get a bigger oven and went convection for good measure. The very first week our adult daughter used an old T-fal pan and parts of the bottom literally glued itself down. After cleaning it with a razor (made for these tops) and scrubbing with the included ceramic cleaner and pad, I finally got it off with two scuff imperfections about an inch each remaining (despite all efforts to polish them out). Make sure you have stainless steel smooth bottom pans (although I do use our Woll Diamond plus pans too). I cringe at every boil over or splatter. Perhaps there are easier ways to maintain the top but I for one have not got it figured out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wish I could have tried it before I bought it I have been using it for about a month. It's a great size interior. That and the three racks are what sold me. However, it seems to be slow to heat up. The buttons have to really be pressed hard to work (I guess we may be spoiled with touch screens these days, but it does seem more difficult than my previous oven to operate.). Lastly, and most disappointing is how much heat escapes into the room. Oven does not seem as well insulated as my previous oven. I guess this would be a good thing for someone in a cold climate, but I live in the deep south! the look of it is beautiful and the stove top seems to work great! It's not a bad oven. I just wouldn't recommend it because I'm sure there's something a little better out there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love the even baking!!! I bake a lot and I love the even baking - I don't have to put my hand in the hot oven to turn the pies so they bake evenly.
