Since I received two OPPOSING responses to my question, WHICH ONE IS TRUE?

If the REAL answer is that you cannot leave these racks in the oven, does this manufacturer make the porcelain-coated racks that CAN be left in the oven during the cleaning cycle??????????????
Thank you.

Answer:
When the repair tech came to repair my oven he reminded me that you CAN NOT keep the racks in the oven otherwise it will remove the shiny coating on them. I don't know about the porcelain racks

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by this stove looks great cook top works awsome convection cooking is a treat and the fact it saves you time and money is another great benefit for sure a keeper January 22, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Whirlpool Convection great but... We love this stove with one serious complaint...the black Ceran top is impossible to keep clean. We have two scuffs from the first week. I will admit I have never owned a ceramic top stove before and the old electric coil stove was easy to clean and took a lot of abuse. We changed stoves primarily to get a bigger oven and went convection for good measure. The very first week our adult daughter used an old T-fal pan and parts of the bottom literally glued itself down. After cleaning it with a razor (made for these tops) and scrubbing with the included ceramic cleaner and pad, I finally got it off with two scuff imperfections about an inch each remaining (despite all efforts to polish them out). Make sure you have stainless steel smooth bottom pans (although I do use our Woll Diamond plus pans too). I cringe at every boil over or splatter. Perhaps there are easier ways to maintain the top but I for one have not got it figured out. August 6, 2014
