A: It's not very thick paint it may help some but not all
A: Hello Randy, thank you for your question. Our Porch & Patio Floor Paint offers superior durability and weather resistance. However, it won't fill cracks caused by splinters and may not necessarily prevent your wood's natural over time wear. If you're looking for a thicker coating that fills hairline cracks and splits in your wood, we'd recommend using our DeckOver coating. Hope this info helps. Good luck with your project. Have a wonderful Wednesday! -Joanna
A: 24 hours to dry but 48-72 hours before heavy traffic
A: Hi paintgrl, Thank you for your question. After you apply our Porch and Patio Floor Paint, we recommend allowing the product to dry for at least 24 hours or more before subjected to any rain. I hope this was helpful. -Edith
A: Hi Fatty, Thanks for your question! Our Porch & Patio Paint can be applied to wood floorboards in a bedroom, and the painted surface will hold up to regular foot traffic. We recommend scuff sanding glossy surfaces, cleaning the floor with soap and water, allowing it to dry, then priming the surface with our Premium Plus All-In-One Primer & Sealer (https://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-Premium-Plus-1-gal-Stain-Blocking-Interior-Primer-and-Sealer-07501/100144295) before painting. Best - Sara
A: Why not? Just pretend that you have an outdoor bath & bed!!….hb
A: Yes this can paint in bedroom. I used it in one of our bedroom. Now durability I think I can be there with a couple of coats properly but if you did one coat like I did than no. It starts to rub off after a couple of months especially where the dogs walk and lay down.
A: Hi albert, Thank you for your question. Although our Porch and Patio Floor Paint can go on several kinds of woods, we don't recommend using it for a plywood surface, especially one for an RV; none of our coatings will work for your project. I am sorry about that. Because of this, instead of applying a second coat, it would be best to remove it using our Stain and Finish Stripper (https://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-Premium-1-gal-Wood-Stain-and-Finish-Stripper-06401N/202263937). To help with your project, please reach out to us directly; we'd love to help in any way we can. - Edith
A: I decided to give it a second coat. I'm salvaging the deck that someone gave to me. Not my preference to use plywood, but the wood still good and large enough to place some planters. I also have some other wood and patio stones that can be placed over the plywood for now. My preference is to use 2x4's or 2x6's spaced apart to allow water to drain and then coat the deck with a natural stain. In the past I've used Flood's CWF which works great on decks. I just happened to have a partially used gallon of the Behr Porch and Floor paint. There's really no reason to let it go to waste. Often paint is purchased and may sit for a long time and eventually goes bad. However I have used old epoxy paint such as manufactured for the Navy and military that lasted more than 20 years. What I prefer is marine grade paint, however the it's cost can become steep. If I had some left over perhaps would have used it instead.
A: A second coat is always better since it seems like a high traffic area on less than perfect substrate. Wait at least 4 hours per Behr guidelines. Overnight even better to allow the paint to set.
A: I would call 1-800-home-depot and ask them.

A: Hi john, Thank you for your question. Yes, our Porch and Patio Floor Paint can be tinted. It can even be custom matched if you bring in your sample to the store. I hope this was helpful. -Edith
A: Yes it is tintable to many colors and specific colors
A: Yes, I would recommend it just for extra protection But I place sparkle on top and then seal them in with a sealer look great
A: Hi ICE, Thanks for your question. The Porch & Patio Floor Paint is very durable and doesn't require a top coat to seal it. However, if you're applying it to concrete and you would like to apply a top coat, you can use a product such as our Wet-Look Sealer. Feel free to contact us directly if you have any more questions. Best regards, Takhari
A: No there is no need to add a sealer. The paint seals itself.
A: NO. For best results. Prep good: scrape of loose paint, sand rough edges. Paint when the weather is not too hot and not humid. Even though the paint dries fast - esp if these is a breeze or if the windows are open -- if outdoors make sure the weather will be good - not rainy for about a week Apply two coats. Use a quality roller. Use brush for edges & corners. However - if you were to you an epoxy type of floor paint - like for a garage that a car would drive on - then maybe yes.
A: Hi Debi, I'm sorry to hear that the paint is scratching off easily! So we can assist you with this, please feel free to reach out to us directly. We look forward to hearing from you. - Sara
A: You have to go to Home Deport Paint department and ask what should you have put down before painting Concrete if you do not prep before hand it will not last and also I would advise using a waterproof for concrete on top for long life
A: Yes, you can use this product in the outside patios.
A: Hi Weze12, I'm glad you posted your question. Our coatings are not intended to adhere to silicone calk. Usually you are looking for the label for the caulk to say that it's paintable. I suggest reaching out to your local Home Depot for the best product recommendation for your project. Regards, Amanda
A: Hi Henry - If any paint exists that is cracking or peeling - scrape it off. And then same the rough edges. And then wash (mop or wit a deck broom) with a cleaner - like Mr Clean, Lysol, etc.. And wait for the deck to thoroughly dry (air dry or towel dry). The fill in any nail impressions dings, imperfections and do necessary chalking. If there is a stain - them you can do a light sanding (you can use a blower or vacuum if there is not a lot of dust). Also - you can power wash. Or you can wash (mop or wit a deck broom) with a cleaner - like Mr Clean, Lysol, etc.. And wait for the deck to thoroughly dry (air dry or towel dry). If it is new bare wood I would do a light sanding. And then wash (mop or wit a deck broom) with a cleaner - like Mr Clean, Lysol, etc.. And wait for the deck to thoroughly dry (air dry or towel dry). Or you can use a blower or vacuum if there is not a lot of dust. Then fill in nail impressions or any dings..Also do any necessary chalking. If there is mold or mildew you may want to power wash - but not at strong or powerful setting (esp if your wood is soft). If power washing - do a test area that is in the back or that is not seen a lot. Then wait for the deck to thoroughly dry (air dry or towel dry). I spot prime and then I do two coats (Not sure if this is a paint and primer). If it is jut a paint version two coats is still fine. NOTE: if using a gloss - like to use the low luster first (first coat) and I use the gloss as the second (final coat). I hope that this info is useful. Good Luck,| Andrea
A: Hi Henry, Thank you for your question. If the pool deck is bare concrete, we'd suggest etching it to clean the surface and opening up the pores. Also, prime the exposed area with our Bonding Primer (https://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-Premium-1-gal-Concrete-and-Masonry-Bonding-Primer-88001/100129649?keyword=behr+bonding+primer&semanticToken=21040+++%3E++++st%3A%7Bbehr+bonding+primer%7D%3Ast++cn%3A%7Bnull%7D++primer+%7Bproduct%7Dbonding+%7BproductName_nostem%7D++behr+%7Brest%7D+). However, if there is a coating in sound condition, we just suggest scuff sanding any gloss and cleaning it with a concrete degreaser. Once the area is dry, feel free to apply the paint. If the surface is wood whether it has a coating or not, we suggest cleaning it with our All-In-One Wood Cleaner (https://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-Premium-1-gal-All-In-One-Wood-Cleaner-06301N/203200559). If the area is bare, we do recommend priming with our Multi-Surface Primer and Sealer (https://www.homedepot.com/p/BEHR-Premium-Plus-1-gal-Multi-Surface-Interior-Exterior-Primer-and-Sealer-43601/100205766). But if it's not, just apply the paint over the existing coating. I hope this was helpful. Best of luck. - Edith
