A:  This product covers up to 400 square feet.

A:  Hi Lee, Thanks for your question! The coverage per gallon is located on the back of the label on the paint can. One gallon will cover 200-300 sq. ft. for rough surfaces, and 300-400 sq. ft. for smooth surfaces. Best - Sara

A:  Hi Eddie, Thanks for your question. Our Porch & Patio Floor Paint can be topcoated with other water-based paints and stains. You may want to reach out to the company that makes the 2-Part Epoxy you plan on using to ensure that their product will adhere to a water-based paint. Best - Sara

A:  Hi PF, Thank you for your question. Since a floating vinyl floor doesn't require adhesive glue, you may be okay to apply it over our Porch and Patio Floor Paint. I hope this was helpful. Best of luck. -Edith

A:  I can not see any reason that would negate putting a floating type floor on top of it later on. We painted our front entry way and our front walk way and it has stood up to everyone walking on it just fine. Why would putting a vinyl type floor cause any problem.

              Answer This Question

A:  Hi PF, Thanks for writing in. The Porch & Patio Floor Paint can be applied to an interior concrete slab and will hold up as long as label instructions for prep and application are followed. If the slab is previously coated, the use of primer wouldn't be necessary. However, if it's a bare surface, you'll need to make sure it's porous and prime before painting. Good luck! ~Takhari

A:  This product works very good on concrete. We used it on a small concrete walkway in the desert in Ca., subject to 120 degrees in the summer. It held up great. So, would highly recommend it. Tom

                Poor quality
I took out all old paint on my porch as it looked so old. So, I grinded all old paints and double coated with this paint with proper procedures. At first glance, it looked great and I was happy with the result in this fall. However, when the temperature dropped below zero and snow freeze and thaw, the paint on each step has started peeling really quick less than 3months. I am so regretful that I chose this premium paint.

Hi John, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear that the paint peeled off so quickly. This is not normal, and I understand your disappointment. I recommend removing all the loose coating, cleaning (etching bare concrete) and priming the surface, before touching up or recoating. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance; our customer care team is happy to help you! -Giovanna Behr

In the start of the request you state enjoying; I would use the word performance. I used the porch & patio paint on a basement floor the paint performs very well. I have used BEAR paint for over 20 years and the paint has been a good value. I have from time to time used a competitor’s paint and the paint did not perform as well as BEAR. One observation, when painting a floor in a basement you must take the environments conditions into account, temperature – moisture. The label states dry time is 72 hours but to put heavy objects like furniture in the area you should keep in mind the full cure time of 30 days. All paints today have a longer full cure time than the stated dry time on the label.

So far so good. Didn't cover as much as it says it would. Was hoping to be able to paint the fire pit block with left over but not looking promising with the amount left over. But the color is what we wanted.

Wanted to do something about drab faded cement porch and BOY did this do the trick! Power wash it first then put down coat of sealer primer, then 2 coats of the paint and WOW. Didn't think it would look this good but I'm glad I was wrong! Very happy with the results, just hope that it will stay new looking for a couple of years without cracking or peeling.

Used it over Behr primer/sealer. My color was khaki over white sealer. Had to touch up areas. Especially porch and ramp that were rolled on. Coverage over areas that weren't primed.was good. I was going over aredwood color. Suggestions: have primer tinted close to porch/floor color. Overall...paint is good. I'll see how it holds up when winter comes.
