Q:Hello, really considering this product but 44 inches is too high. Do you have shorter ones or can these be cut?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Alex, Thanks for contacting us! Yes, our HOFT posts can be cut to the desired size, you can use a circular saw or miter saw with a carbide blade. Cut from the top as you'll need the threading at the bottom for the anchor plate. The top cap will fit perfectly even if the post is cut. Have a great day, HOFT Team!

A: Hi Jorge, Thanks for contacting us! Yes you can use only the top portion of the post. Q:What is the dimensions of the anchor plate for me to pour two small concrete pads.
by|Sep 28, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hi Tyler, The measurements for the plate are in mm. The outside dimensions of the anchor plate are 5’’1/4 x 5’’1/4, and 1/4” thick. The biggest holes (outside holes) are the ones you should be looking at for the anchor screws. Anchor bolts must be 3/8” x 3 ½” or 3” is accepted as well. Have a great day, HOFT Team!

Q:Will the wall support hanging a TV. How is the base anchored and how much lateral force.
by|Sep 18, 2022

Answer This Question
A: Hi Mike, We aren't too worried about the strength of the boards, and we believe it would be strong enough to withstand the weight of a TV, however the most important part is the strength of the anchoring. You can use lag bolts 3/8 x 3'' if anchoring on a deck or concrete anchor bolts (3/8’’ x 3’’1/2). Thanks, HOFT Team!

Q:I want to build a continuous fence (approx 8' in length). Can I buy a post with board slats on both sides, without aligning 2 end posts side by side? The photo looks like I can, but I only see options for a corner post or end post.

Answer This Question
A: Hi Tracie, The post that you're inquiring about is the line post but unfortunately it is on B/O approximately until the end of October. Keep in mind that when installing a line post, there are boards on both sides so you would need to close you project on both ends with most likely 2 end posts. The distance between wood boards is 6 feet and 5 feet for composite boards to avoid warping, therefore 8 feet would be too long. Thanks HOFT Team!

Answer This Question
A: Hi DevB,
Thank you for your interest in our products! From what we understand, yes you can use one HOFT post. Since our spacers are shaped like a ''H'', if ever you slide two spacers instead of one in between each board you will have a 2'' spacing. If ever you have any other questions or would like to send us picture so we better understand your project, feel free to write to us at info@hoftsolutions.com .
Thanks!
