A:  Yes, with the Balboa privacy lever, you'll find an Emergency Key, Model # 81087, which you insert in the hole on the exterior of the lever to unlock.

A:  Yes you push down at 45 degrees. It is not a full 90. It opens very smoothly.

A:  You can pull the lever up or down and it will open the door.

A:  No. Latch engages at about the 5 o’clock position. I’ve taken photos to demonstrate the range. The handle doesn't move very far.

A:  I only purchased the amount that I would need. If you feel that you might need more than you originally want to purchase, by all means consider the cost.

A:  When you buy this item it comes with a little like allen wrench that will let you pop the door open from the hallway.

A:  The handle comes with a pin that fits into the hole on the front of the handle. Insert and turn. It’ll unlock the door

A:  Outside of having to remove the door knob, place the key where it is easily reached. If not possible, I would suggest inquiring about the possibility of purchasing extra keys.

A:  The privacy lock is like any bedroom door. The lock is on the inside of the room. However it does come with a little allen wrench to pop the door open for the hallway.
