Q:I need to control weeds in a moss covered yard without adversely impacting the moss. I have read that a pre-emergent herbicide containing corn gluten or trifluralin is what I need. Will this product work?

      A:  I would not recommend. It is safe for animals but bring near a creek animals may be sick ingesting it through drinking the water.  I would recommend googling that question for more detailed information.

          A:  Thank you for your inquiry! You just sprinkle the Preen on the soil as if you were seasoning food. You do not want a blanket of the product on the soil just a nice general spreading of the granules. Then water it in to activate it.

              A:  I have been using Preen for over 10 years I have a cat and a dog and they do there thing in my garden all the time. They are over10 years old. Hope this will help you. H.B.

                A:  It is safe to be used with animals.  You do want to keep them off of it for at least a day after application.

                  A:  Pets/humans can enter a Preen Garden Weed Preventer treated area once dried from the first irrigation. You may gently rake in the Preen prior to watering so they are not visible. Thank you!

                    A:  For flower seeds, they cannot be sowed with Preen Garden Weed Preventer as the product lasts in the soil for up to 3 months. For vegetable seeds, please refer to the 'For Use On Vegetables' section of the label for instructions whether Preen should be applied before or after seeding or transplanting. Thank you!

                      A:  You cannot use Preen with seeds, you must start seeds first, and when 2-3 inches tall, transplant them to the garden treated with Preen.
