          A:  I assume yes.  My dog never had issues with it and he was near it often. My son helps me spread it and he has never had any issues.

                Q:I installed artificial turf in my backyard and have a few weeds which have sprung up through the turf. If I pull the weeds out, and then apply Preen, will this prevent them weeds from coming back?

                A:  It will prevent NEW weed growth but I would use a ground clear to kill anything presently growing & this product to help it last.

                  A:  Thank you for your inquiry! Preen Garden Weed Preventer is not meant to be on any type of turf. This product is only meant to be applied around flower, plants, trees, shrubs and some vegetables. It is to strong to be applied to turf and can cause harm or damage.

                        Q:When can preen pre-emergent be applied in Arizona. Instructions said all seasons except winter. Spring isn?t until March but I am in Arizona where its a little bit warmer. Can I use it now?

                        A:  Yes you can use it in the Spring in Arizona. In warm weather it can be used year round. I use it in the early Spring through late Fall hear in the east coast.

                            A:  I would use it anytime the temp is 50 or above. Remember to water lightly after using Preen. Water activates Preen.

                              A:  I wouldn’t think so as it is a weed preventer. I put it on my mulched areas in the spring and fall and the new vegetation always blooms

                                A:  Thank you for your inquiry! If the Preen was watered in then yes it will prevent the grass seed from germinating. If the Preen was not watered in, we suggest removing as much as you can from that area.

                                  A:  Thank you for your inquiry! You can apply Preen Garden Weed Preventer before you plants have emerged from the ground. Once the plants have started to emerge you will need to wait to apply Preen until they are up 2-3 inches from ground.
