A:  I am having the same issue, and in fact, if I try to push the mower WITHOUT using the self-propel switch, one of the rear wheels will lock up after moving about 2 feet. This happens if I am pushing the mower forward or backward, with the motor on or off.

A:  It's depend on how tall and thick your lawn is. The taller and thicker your lawn is the harder to push. I would pay for the self propel it's easier on your shoulder and back. Medical bills are more expensive than saving a few dollars on this lawn mower.

A:  No its not hard for me. In fact self is only rear wheels I feel is not doing much good job on slopes unless you push mower to be on rear wheels.

A:  Nelda, when your mower arrives it is boxed up in a nice heavy duty box.  You open the box and take the mower out.  Press on one release to lift the mower handle up into mowing position and you are ready to go after you install the batteries which is very easy.  There is a small plug in the battery compartment to switch batteries the the first one runs out of juice.  In my opinion this is the easiest mower to start to use because you really don't have to assemble anything.  I have the two blade mower and I really like how well it mulches the grass.  If you are cutting 2-3 inches you don't even see any of the grass you cut because it is mulched so fine.  I cut 1.5 acres with my mower and I would never go back to a gas mower.  Ken

A:  I don't know the answer, but if your yard is that small, sounds like you'd be better off with a Ryobi weed eater.

A:  Light weight for me. Due to many upper arm surgeries it was light weight and easy to use.

A:  Sorry, I do not hang my land mower so I couldn't tell you that It is safe to do. I recommend calling the manufacturer. 

A:  I believe that it could be hung on the wall as the arms have a decent sized clip to hold them into place. I am not sure how well it would hang though. The mower itself is a pretty nice weight. Not incredibly heavy but may not be easy to lift to high etc. we have ours folded and sitting against the wall instead of hanging as I have a bad elbow and lifting is not so easy.

A:  Yes. Any of the 40v ah batteries will work. 

A:  Yes, you can use a smaller amp hour battery with the mower. The battery still outputs 40v it will just not be able to mow as long as a larger AH battery. I own the mower, blower, string trimmer, and leaf vac. Which have 6ah, 5ah, and 4ah batteries I interchange any of them for my mower which does most of my yard but always need to change once to finish.

A:  The mower is quiet and I get my lawn done with one battery, with a reserve unit for when I need to do more cutting. There is no polluting of the environment at all.

A:  I purchased this lawnmower because I suffer with Rheumatoid and osteoarthritis and pushing a lawnmower can be really stressful on my hands, wrists, arms and legs. A:  1 battery is all you need and the size yard your saying would be more then capable of cutting with it.  A standard city yard can be cut, trimmed and then a leaf blower all off same battery without a recharge.

A:  oh yeah, I had watched it eat through entire leaf piles when I was testing it out, it went through dirt, sand, sticks, and leaves without a problem!

To install the mulching plug you will need to do the following; Remove the start key and battery pack. Insert the mulching plug into the mower’s rear discharge opening and place the mulching plug’s metal lock into the slot on the right side of the mower housing. Gently push down on the mulching plug to ensure the metal lock is fully seated in the slot. The mower will not start if the metal lock is not fully seated. A:  I had my neighbor do it. He said turn it so it slid in place.

A:  Yes it does. I love the mower it's lighter to handle than a gas mower but the battery last about half hour and then you have to do a full recharge. that's a pain in the butt.
