[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to stain a 30 year old deck that was neglected by previous owner. Cleaned with Behr deck wash, and let dry 48 hours. Sanded entire deck with 40 grit paper, filled large holes and cracks with plastic wood, and sanded those areas with 120 grit. Applied 2 coats of stain, letting dry overnight between coats, and looks great. Time will tell how well it will hold up. First rain was 24 hours after second coat, and water pooled on top of deck instead of soaking in, so working good so far. Was going to use a deck restore product, but after reading all the bad reviews on longevity, went with this instead, and deck looks almost new. Behr has always been my go to paint, and hasn't let me down yet.

I came across this at my local Home Depot one day looking for outdoor paint to redo a old picnic table and swing my husband redid… I got a gallon of this in a simple gray color. Impeccable! The color was amazing spot on perfect it matched the actual two person swing and easy to apply! I didn’t have to spend days waiting for coats to dry or go over areas numerous times! We have always loved behr paints and used a lot of them. If your looking for a great product that deals protects and don’t look flat and have color this is it! Love love love this and I’m buying a gallon today to redo our front door. I can’t speak anymore highly about this brand and product trust me you won’t be disappointed. I had family complementing me and the color asking where I got it what it was they can mix any color you want so find the color and have it mixed and bring life and color back to your home outdoor pieces and crafts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased it a year ago before our deck was finished .. Did all the extra precautions sanded the new wood used behr 63 cleaner applied 2 thin coats which did keep it from peeling an cracking .. just didn't stop it from wearing completely off ..

The deck Stain is the best . And so is the SUN MAN commercial. Keep up the great products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was what I have come to expect from Behr products. I power washed my shed before using a 1/2" nap roller to apply stain. It went on easy and smooth filling all the uneven surfaces on my 35 years old shed's barn siding. The paint covered in one coat. It looks as good now as it did all those years ago. The program used by my local Home Depot store to match my color was spot on. I could not have been more pleased.

Usually I buy semi transparent for decks but you have to restain more often so due to my age was thinking this product would last longer. Nope this stuff only ladted less than 1 year before black spots , wood rotting and chipping. Yes I know how to probably prepare decks for stain , I have done several but never finished with a solid stain. Save yourself money and labor don't buy this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] purchased last month to treat my decking and rails all around home. builder originally applied an oil based stain and after 3 years it looked terrible. after clean and prep I was pleasantly surprised how easily the new product applied and covered . it looks like a new deck and even easier to keep clean and swept. We found it even feels better under foot when walked on without shoes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 12 years of solid staining my T1-111 sided mountain cabin- I am hugely impressed with this paint. It is time for a new coat ( fine cracks and wear- but no major cracking or peeling. ) Stain has been through all kinds of rainy, snowy, and winter weather. I would not repaint it with anything else but Behr.

I have wood stained with Behr that was stained at the same time as some wood stained with another brand and my Behr stained wood still looks fresh. Behr is the only paints and stains I use.

I was talked into using your product and the representative was very knowledgeable about your product. After 2 coats of the stain and sealer as recommended, the product dried showing cracks so I applied another coat same issue. Any recommendations at this point will be appreciated.

All that hard work for nothing! Made sure the wearher conditions were perfect. Put 2 coats on my huge deck in the Fall. This Spring, the stain is chipping. My deck looks horrible! Between the money and my time, such a waste! Stay away from this product.

I saw in an earlier review that you sent a customer a sealer to help remedy peeling. I put a good deal of prep work into this project. Disappointed

After pressure washing the old wood and replacing some of the rotten wood , this stain blended the old and new wood together beautifully. It goes on well. When you can tell the quality of paint/stain is superior than anything else you've ever used it makes you feel better about spending the $45 per gallon price. If it last like I think it will it is totally worth it

It was unfinished so i went to Home Depot and purchased a gallon of Behr solid color waterproofing wood stain and sealer. The stain went straight into the sprayer....no thinning needed! After it dried, we hung the plants. She was very happy! And, as we all know...happy wife, happy life!

We have purchased this product multiple times. It does not hold up as advertised. I love the color, but it needs to be redone every 2 years which is nowhere near the 10 year mark.

We are highly satisfied with this product for wood protection in the Florida climate. We are planning on continuing to use this for our present wood projects around the home.
