Like so many other would-be purchasers, I mistakenly assumed that this edging had built in staking of some sort. This is not the case. The edging seems to be designed to be buried for lateral support, so 12 inch edging becomes 6 inch edging. The wood is certainly nice and sturdy and the wiring between the "logs" is good enough. You could certainly drill out some of the logs and tap in 12 inch galvanized spikes to help hold the edging in place. I need to consult "the boss" before I proceed any further.

This Natural Eucalyptus Wood Solid Log for Landscaping Edging and Lawn Garden Fence Border is some seriously heavy-duty stuff! If you want very natural looking but substantial edging, look no further. This solid log edging is the real deal. The distinct logs are attached to each other in a 6 ft. long row by fence grade galvanized wire which is not only bendable but sturdy as all get out! I was able to shape around plants with it and it stayed put. The logs are each 6 inches long which is kind of a problem in that you have to find a way to fasten the edging on the surface of the ground since burying part of the edging will leave very little above the ground. But hey, to each his own. Really nice though. Heavy, solid pieces of eucalyptus wood from South Africa (not cheap imitation plastic or resin) and looks great right out of the box. Can be stained for added water/weather protection but I have been told eucalyptus is pretty rot resistant. Nice item in my yard. Recommend it highly.

I acquired some of these backyard X-scapes that are 72" long by 12" high. They are great for a lawn edging or a flower bed border. They are made of authentic South African eucalyptus wood. They are very sturdy and solid once you have them in ground.Each of them are connected together for strength with galvanized wire and are super strong and hold in place. You can put them in a straight line or curve them as you wish.

I acquired some of these natural eucalyptus wood solid logs for some landscaping and they give a great look rather you want them straight or curved as they can be very easily. They are very durable and resistant wood garden edging and are made of eucalyptus wood from South Africa. They are very easy to install and a perfect edging curved or straight line. Each section are 72 in. long and can get them in 6 in or 12 in high.

The X-Scapes landscape edging provides an attractive and effective border. We have several hibiscus plants in the back yard, and dogs apparently like to eat the flowers. After they've eaten all the flowers, they start on the leaves. The original solution was to make a barrier out of scrap pieces of lattice, which looked terrible (see photos) but kept the plants alive. X-Scapes is tall enough to protect the plants, and it looks great! It would also make atrtractive planter, simply put around an ordinary plastic pot and zip tie the ends together with a couple of zip ties to form a perfect circle around the pot. The X-scapes border is made from eucalyptus, which is a durable rot resiistant wood, and is held together with galvanized wire. It's available in 6" height if you don't need to keep dogs from eating your plants.

This landscape edging measures 72in long by 12 in high. It actually appeared smaller lengthwise than i had anticipated. It was just enough to place around a small tree. If you are using it for larger spaces, you will definitely need more than one. They are solid mini logs made out of eucalyptus wood. They look pretty rustic and have a good weight to them. They are in a natural wood tone.

Thought this BACKYARD X-SCAPES Natural Eucalyptus Wood Solid Log for Landscaping Border would be a great option from the plastic ones. I put this around my large flowering tree. This stands up great on it's own and did not need to dig a trench aorund the tree. I think the Natural Eucalyptus Wood Logs should last a long time. Hand made and they are put together very well and will not fall apart. Nice size 6" log's and looks great..

Do you need a well groom neat yard with pretty edging or borders like I did, if so this is the produce for you. I recently got this backyard X-SCAPES 72 IN. L X 6 IN. H X 1.25 IN. D natural Eucalyptus wood solid log for landscaping edging and lawn garden border comes from South Africa. This unique edging or border can be used in a straight line or in a curved area. I installed mine around a tree which I have some flowers and azaleas to accent the woods and flowers. I currently only have one 72 inch length of this edging and plan to purchase two more to fit around my oak tree. It makes it look nice and neat having this type of border. I am very pleased with the outcome of it. This is very easy to install which just unrolling it in place and you might want to use some hidden stakes behind the edging for more support or dig a small trench to keep it where you want it to stay. It was very simple to install and only took a few minutes.

“Sticks? You bought a box of sticks?” Yes, yes I did! But they are all stuck together! I love the natural look and my husband wanted borders so he would mow my flowers over..so we compromised and I bought this. All natural, prefect fit and it looks amazing! Super quick and easy install. Can’t wait for the flowers to grow and bloom to finish this look!

These Backyard X-Scapes are a very good 1 foot high log edging. They are made of a very strong Eucalyptus wood for long life and they look great. They are held together with two pieces of heavy duty wire at the top and bottom of the logs that are flexible enough to make them very strong and yet somewhat easy to bend at the same time. They give your yard an extra boast of fancy as you can see in the photos below. If your looking for a fancy border around your trees or garden or whatever, I highly recommend the Backyard X-Scapes.

Hmmm...not sure exactly how to say this... I think I will have to see how this product holds up in the weather and especially on Windy days and I only say that because to be honest with you I thought like any other type of edging it would be something that you could actually stake into the ground but that's not the case with this product. If you see the pictures that I attached they're just small log shaped pieces of wood that you just apparently stand on the ground so I have moved them from place to place trying to find the perfect place to put them. I really do feel that what I'm going to probably do for them to look the way they do on the website is to almost dig a small little trench to get them in the ground a little bit because if not they will just fall over. I'm still going to recommend the product because I do feel that this could appeal to a lot of you. A plus is the fact that they are wired together so they're very flexible so it doesn't have to be a rigid edging.

These came today and boy was that box heavy so I already figured out they were real wood. They came very well packaged too. They look even better than on the website. I’m going to install them tomorrow morning by my red tulips, that will look very pretty. I don’t know why but for some reason I thought these were plastic? I must not have paid attention to the details but it’s a happy accident.

I received these today and cannot wait until I put them into use tomorrow morning. I love the shape of these. They are even better than they looked online.they are real wood which surprised me which means I should have read the details better but it’s a happy accident.they will be surrounding my lavender by my little shed. It’s going to look really cute.they are very well made too so they will last a long time.

I have this landscape edging separating a lawn area from a vegetable garden area. It’s installed along a chain link fence line. Last year, I had lawn on both sides of the fence line, but I decided to create a little vegetable garden area. Of course, the chain link fence does not stop the grass from spilling over. I’m trying this edging to see if I can improve the separation of the lawn area and the vegetable garden. The chain link acts as a natural trellis for my tomato plants. I bought a 5” trenching shovel to dig a nice and somewhat narrow trench for the installation. Never had one before, but this saved time over a regular shovel. The edging is giving this an aesthetic view of a border. It should be able to take some abuse from the lawn mower running up against it. I'm in the process of getting more, ran out. I like it so far.

I have this landscape edging separating a curved walk way and some low lying plants. I have it placed where it doesn’t present a tripping hazard. As well, it does a good job of keeping the red lava rock and the red mulch separated and not mixing up with each other. I had a plastic border for a long time, but it sits too low to keep the separation adequate. So, as this is advertised as a garden makeover, this turned out to be just right for me. Get a 5” trenching shovel to dig a nice and somewhat narrow trench for the installation. It saves time over a regular shovel. I don’t know what makes high-quality Eucalyptus wood, but it feels light and at the same time, somewhat dense. The soil is somewhat dry, and I don’t expect rot for a long time. Since I have red on both sides of the edging, the edging is obvious to see, it protrudes about 3 inches above grade. They're right, great for garden makeover. I like it very much.

I received landscaping edging with great anticipation of spring planting. My first disappointment was they were smaller than I anticipated. Secondly, to secure them in the ground, I would have to dig a deeper trench which wouldn’t reveal the wooden sticks. Because of their size, they are attractive to our puppy, who thinks they are another object to play with in the backyard. If you don’t have a puppy or only want to see a small portion of the wooden edge, this might be d’or you

I used to have rubber and plastic edging around the base of the two Bradford pear trees in my front yard. After a while the plastic does succumb to the weather so I removed them. This left the bases of the trees bare so I’ve been wanting to try something different. I chose these eucalyptus logs by Backyard X-Scapes and didn’t even know at the time the wood is from South Africa! Beautiful logs but there were no instructions included so I searched questions and answers online and discovered they simply stand up on their own. I’ve had my Bradford pears for over 20 years so 6 feet of these wonderful logs wasn’t quite long enough to have curb appeal so I decided to use it around my Shepherd’s hook where I hang my bird feeders. They do stand up on their own and I plan to buy enough to go around the base of my front trees. Great looking wood and these are very well made. Super easy to install and looks like they may last for years to come. Lightweight but sturdy. Would work well in other applications too such as the base of planters, especially if you want a naturalistic wood and greenery appeal. Not sure what’s holding them together but the manufacturer put together an exceptional product
