This is a copy of an Ideal tool I hsved used for ages. Forgot my Ideal once, and needed for an emergency. Does the job just as well. Time will show how long it is going to last. One outstanding feature: cutting edges on front allows to cleanly cut zip ties without damaging individual strands. Was sad Ideal tool was discontinued; happy now this one is available.

I needed to cut some chicken wire worked perfectly. As an A/V tech I can use this tool at work, there are two small openings for stripping. I like that it is small, makes it easy to carry around all day.

This tool worked twice and started failing. I plan on returning it.

Didn't cut as good as I thought they would I used them to cut aluminum wire

I dont know if my review is fair. I bought these to cut housing for bike cable. I did read the reviews, but underestimated the size of cable cutter needed. They probably work for coaxial cable just fine. Dont buy these thinking they will be your cheap home verison of a do it all tool.

Terrible product. Ended up throwing it out. Couldn’t get anything even close to a clean cut. Should have spent a little more on a decent set...I guess I got what I paid for...lesson learned

Great quality and function

Cuts great. Great size. Very handy.

I got this to cut Coax cable and upon its first use the blade dulled near the center where the copper wire in the Coax cable runs. I'll probably run a file over the blade to sharpen it again when the dulling causes issues with cutting. It's such a good deal for the cutter that I can't fault it too much. It definitely cut the cable cleanly and easily.

I bought this tool to cut coax cable without distorting it. It distorts the inner layers every cut.

I had purchased a similar product elsewhere a good while back, but when I wore them out that merchant no longer carried these. I was surprised to find them on the shelf at HD and immediately purchased this new pair to replace the worn out ones. These are not super high quality, but for the price they do a great job for everyday cable cutting. The small size is great, they're good and sharp. And, I like the curved cutting surfaces since it tends to do nicely on round cables such as coax (which is what i use it for). For the price they are a great value and handy to have.

Cuts a variety of cables and also cuts plastics. Easy to use with one hand if you have to be quick also.
