The storm door with a size of 32 x 80 inches has an actual panel/slab measurement of 31-1/8 x 79-1/8 inches. It will fit into an entry opening of 31-3/4 to 32-3/8 inches (width) and 80 to 80-7/8 inches (height). The door becomes 32 x 80 inches together with the latch rail, hinge rail, rain cap and sweep. If there is a gap at the bottom, it could be due to an installation error. This model of storm door is to be installed from bottom to top. There should not be a gap at the bottom if the door was installed from bottom to top. The gap should be at the top and it can be covered using the rain cap and rain cap extender.
