TERRIBLE
Don't waste your time or money on these cheaply made lag screws. They are not durable at all, and thats if they even make it in all the way without breaking off. I have used a box of 50 and so far only about 10 have made it through without snapping off. All they do is break and give you more problems than what its worth.

We built large wooden planter boxes for an elementary school garden using these lag screws. Using impact drivers, I expected some of the bolt heads to shear off. These lags held up great and did the job.

    They got the job done
I used these to secure some timbers that made up our front stairs, I did snap off one of the bolt heads, but the others were fine. I was cranking on the bolt pretty hard with an extension so it was expected.

Wanted alittle added strength to my new deck, so installed lag screws in key locations, just to play it safe. Sure, 4 inch bolts are a pain to install, but would rather do that then have the deck fall apart.

These EVERBILT 5/16 IN. X 1-1/2 IN. ZINC-PLATED HEX LAG SCREW (50-PACK) were utilized in one area to fasten a homemade Anvil to a homemade wood block. This particular department in our shop was in need of an Anvil to perform small steel formations. We utilized an old railroad track and needed to fasten the makeshift Anvil to a wooden block we built in-house. These lag screws were the perfect answer!

These hex lag bolts are another item I like to keep in my parts box. They can be useful in the right situation. I have pictures of a few of the jobs I use them for. Basically when I need to attach any metal plate to wood I use this hardware. I usually predrill a smaller hole when installing to ensure the piece of wood I am attaching to doesn't split. If you use an impact drill it is simple to secure.

The 50 pack 5/16 by 1-1/2 inch hex lag screw is of good quality. It should work well for many applications of wood and possibly others such as metal and plastics. As in any lag screw application it works better with the use of a pilot hole to avoid splitting the material. The hex head is 1/2 s.a.e size and 13 mm will also work from your metric tool chest.

These Everbilt 3/8in. x 3-1/2in. Zinc-Plated Hex Lag Screws come in a box of 25 and are both sturdy and easy to use. We used these lag screws to sister up some joints in our garage ceiling for extra strength and durability. These screws are not really designed to be self-taping, so drilling a small pilot hole is recommended for ease of use. These screws would also be great for attaching a deck frame to deck posts. They are a great length to ensure that they do not pull out once secured.

These lag screws are well built and sturdy. I received these lag screws in exchange for a review. The workmanship on these lag screws is high quality. They are sturdy and just the right size for a couple of repair projects I need to finish. We have a wooden play set for the grandkids in the yard that need to be tightened up a bit. These are just the right size to restore stability. I also have a wooden frame we use on a parade float that needs to be tightened up a bit. I recommend this product.

The 3/8"x3-1/2" Zinc Plated Hex Lag Bolts were just the right length to "beef up" my attic stairwell. The stairwell was installed with just standard "all purpose" screws. I prefer to install these lag bolt type screws for more support. I'm not a small man by no means and prefer that as I go up and down the stairs-that they don't come/pull loose from the framing opening. I do recommend that you drill a pilot hole prior to installing the new lags to make it a bit easier to install them. I also installed a 3/8" washer on each lag prior to installation. I had these in my hardware stock in my garage-but will purchase a few more to replenish my stock on my next trip to my local Home Depot Store.

This 25-pack of 3/8 in. X 3-1/2 in. Zinc Plated Hex Lag Screws from Everbilt make for a secure way to fasten wood on deck frames, retaining walls, pergolas, arbors, treehouses, wood swingsets, construction framing and DIY projects that need extra strong holding power. I have been using this brand of lag screws for years now and have no complaints. I like to drill a small pilot hole before screwing them in to make it easier to use and the grip it has is really strong, plus if you screw it together, you can also break it down and reuse it at a later time.

As Lag bolts go these are what you would expect. The plating seems to consistent as is the overall size. The heads are all uniform and fit a socket well. I drove one into a pressure treated 4 X 4 with an impact driver without a pilot hole and it went in without any problem. They are listed as 3 1/2 long and they measure 3 3/8 from the bottom of the head to the end and 3 5/8 overall length. The shank measures 0.368 and the head is 5/8"

Used 3" lag bolts to put together a fence attaching 2x6's to 6x6 posts. Pre-drilled the holes to keep the wood from splitting when applying the bolt. Used washers along with the bolt's to keep the heads from sinking into the wood. These bolts held up to my expectations. We used a lot of torque to apply the bolts. Out of about 200 bolts, only one snapped because of too much torque. These are manly bolts for a the manly job it was used on.
