JUST WAIT A FEW YEARS & SEE BEFORE REVIEWING
I always like to wait a few years before leaving a review. I purchased this item May 14th of 2020. Today it went out for a second, came back on, then turned off and is now dead. The fact that it didn't last 3 years is proof enough that I'll be purchasing a thermostat from a reputable company with a good warranty because Honeywell is not on my list.

If your thermostat has a blank display, we recommend you reaching out to the installer to have them making sure that the thermostat is receiving enough voltage from the HVAC system. If they find that the thermostat should be replaced, this thermostat has 5 years of warranty through the installer. The thermostat works good once you get it installed. Instalation is a pain. Took almost an hour for the HVAC technician to get
both programed.

I bought this Thermostat to swap out another Honeywell thermostat so I would have WiFi capability. Unfortunately, this unit requires 5 wires to operate it properly. My wiring only had 4 wires. I was missing a green wire!. I did install it as per their instructions and found the dial would not stay powered on? So, I called their customer support line and found out that I needed the fifth green wire to operate the unit. Their recommendation was to hire an HVAC electrician to install the unit. So, I decided I would keep using my prior Non-WiFi Thermostat and upgrade later when I call an electrician to install a new power line for the unit. So my suggestion is for you to check the wiring to make sure it meets your needs before buying the unit.

Product works great. Instruction manual is poorly written and very confusing. I have to call the customer service via phone twice. Product provides the basic functions but lacks certain functions found on other thermostats. Since as automatic history access, automatic away functions etc.

Installation was so easy!
We had a new heater installed and the contractor said the old Honeywell thermostat wouldn't work with the new heater. He took it upon himself to install a non-programable one. I'm so mad at myself for living with it for a month. I've had programmable thermostats for 30 years. Two screw drivers, a level and 30 minutes to install. It was very easy. Getting our phones signed on to the app wasn't near as easy but eventually it worked. Still working on getting it added to my Google Home.

Multiple thermostats
My home has 3 thermostats. If I install 3 of these thermostats can each one be controlled by my smart phone?

I had to return it because I needed a common wire. The set up for my furnace wasn’t going to work with the jump wire it came with. I even had a HVAC pro come to my house to install it. He said it wouldn’t work. I bought a different thermostat.

Would have been. 5 star review although setup is a hassle. You have to use a computer or tablet to setup which makes zero sense because you're probably going to use your phone for controlling the thermostat.

My thermostat went dead, I was able to find the same one only the updated model which was wifi at Home Depo available and ready to pick up. I was going to install using the quick setup guide but the wires were too small for me to deal with, so my husband did when he got home. However after install ing per instructions it did not work, husband asked for box and rest of instructions. I have older wiring and you need a C wire for thermostat to work per instructions. Otherwise G wire gets put where C wire should go, and fan only runs when heat/air is running not continuously as I previously had it set.
