Built our home in 2005 and after 15 years of kitchen use of our Forte faucet, I still love it. (We had a 4th hole drilled to add a filtered water dispenser). Never a leak or problem till just recently when the handle broke. I don’t think people know that Kohler has a Life Time Warranty on this faucet. I simply called their customer service dept, gave them my model and told them my problem…not only did they send me a new handle they shipped me a new sprayer “just because” it was also 15 yrs old….AT NO COST TO ME! I received my replacement parts 3 days later, free shipping, too! Easy to fix and a hassle free experience with a super friendly customer service. I’m a happy camper with this life time faucet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Forte faucet in 2000 & loved it so much that I bought another one in 2019 for my kitchen remodel! Looks so modern! I did not want a pull-down sprayer (they tend to sag after awhile) and did not want the handle attached to the faucet. I bought the soap dispenser too.

While this looks nice, it does not hold up as it should for the price. I had this installed less than 8 years ago. After 5 the handle began to leak and the ellen-wrench tightening spot stripped after a year. Kohler replaced it at no charge, but the install was complicated and annoying. Now, less than later, the same issue is occuring and the sprayer is leaking in 2 places. I will have to buy an intire new unit (different brand) and pay to have it installed. Not happy.

Faucet had minuscule leak which eventually got under the nickel plating causing that to fail. Leak worsened and then noticed the retaining ring below the handle had split. I did get over ten years service but would not have expected failures like these in a high quality product. Ten years really isn't very long.

I bought this, in chrome, from my local HD store in 2006. The faucet has served well except the back of the base, just below the handle, started corroding. It is now to the point of swelling and has broken the chrome ring at the top of that base (picture showing the corrosion should be below; if the corrosion has been cropped by the website LMK) and has a sharp shard of exposed metal. I have the receipt. How do I get a free replacement, and of what? Otherwise, a fine product.

After a couple of years first the control handle started to leak at the base. Not possible to tighten the mount, I had to buy a new mount unit and have a plumber install it. Next year same thing with the faucet. One star for quality, four stars for design.

I searched and searched for a "shorter" goose-neck faucet and this Kohler faucet is the only one that fit my needs. It is expensive and if it hadn't been EXACTLY what I wanted, I would not have purchased it. My husband did not want me to get it - he said Kohler has a history of leaking problems and parts are expensive and hard to find. I hope this faucet proves him wrong. I will say that the quality of the finish is not good for the price. The nozzle does not match the handle - nozzle is a slightly different color and a rougher texture. It was installed before I noticed it. The only reason I'm giving it a "good" rating is that I love the style and it's perfect for my kitchen. My last faucet was a Delta - pretty inexpensive - and it lasted 10 years, so I'm hoping this Kohler faucet will stand up to the competition - it was installed on 5-30-14 and so far no problems. If it doesn't last at least a few years, I doubt we will purchase another Kohler product.

(1) Tall arc faucet. (2) Single lever control (not two separate controls for cold & hot). (3) This lever is separate from the main faucet body; a feature I wanted, but not very common. (4) reasonable price. (5) solid build quality. (6) available in a finish that matched my existing sink. [I did have one question during installation. No problem. I telephoned Kohler support and they answered my question.]

I really like the faucet with the exception of the hand sprayer. The faucet we replaced had a nice brass heavy duty sprayer. This one is lightweight plastic as were all of the faucets with sprayers that we looked at. The rest of the faucet is solid metal construction and feels very durable. We needed a widespread faucet and there really were not very many available to choose from. This one was more expensive than others we looked at, but the quality was much better. I like the high arc design and the handle feels really solid and work flawlessly. When you turn off the faucet, the water runs a bit after which is probably due to the high arc and water remaining in it. Ordered online from Home Depot and received the next day with free shipping!

This is a very attractive and well designed faucet. Having the handle separate from the spout is most convenient for me and a comfortable handle use.

This was to replace the original 17-yesr-old model. Everything fit perfectly and was a breeze to install.

Kohler stands by their product. Had leakage issue w/original purchase however attempted to resolve issue & 10 years later they replaced it- FREE of charge!

Since I was replacing a similar Kohler faucet, I had the example of removing the old faucet before installing an identical faucet. The instructions were very straight forward. It’s been a relief to have no leaks or problems with the new faucet.

Tried lowering the water pressure using the sink cutoff valves but it doesn’t help. Every time you turn on the water you hear an annoying clunking sound like something is loose in the mechanism. I am very disappointed with hthis faucet.

While it's attractive in design, it only worked for about two weeks before the handle became very rigid and difficult to position; additionally, we could only stop the dripping (in the "off" position) after moving the handle a fraction of an inch at a time--a process that sometimes would take several minutes before hhe water stopped dripping. I phoned Kohler and, after multiple times failing to get through, they informed me that it is a defective valve cartridge and offered to send me a replacement (which still has not arrived after nearly two weeks). While I appreciate the help, a product this expensive should have much greater quality control. (I also agree with other users who complained about the too-short supply lines.) I'm hesitant to buy another Kohler product at this point.

It installed fairly easily but now every time I turn it on, it makes a clunking sound?

I love this Kohler Forte kitchen faucet enough to buy it again. This is my second one. My first one lasted 15 yrs, so I am hoping for the same with this new one.

Beautiful faucet, easy to install but...every time you turn it on you hear this water hammer effect where water hits the inner workings. Utter garbage!! I read somewhere else where a owner complained of a "noise"...I had no idea how annoying it would be. Yes, Kohler, you fouled up on this; you should terminate the engineer and the management that approved this design. This noise annoys me enought that I will remove the faucet, throw it away and replace it with another brand. Total waste of money and time. How in the world some clown engineer and management thought it would be OK for users to hear this water hammer EVERY time they turn on the faucet is beyond me. Absolutely do not recommend buying this faucet.

I bought this a month ago and love the faucet and handle. I am not happy with the sprayer - for the price I would have thought that this would have been made better - it is plastic - we do not use it at all
