Originally bought the gun for cold temperatures to heat up the surface to make sure my labels and plaque stick correctly works great. I believe I can use it for multiple things in the electrical industry

I own a LOT of milwaukee tools - M18 and M12 plus a lot packout. I've only been disappointed twice. First was the m18 angle grinder. It has no power and just stops. Even with a fresh 6.0 battery. Replaced it with the M18 Fuel grinder - problem solved. This "heat gun" has little to no heat. I realize it was cold outside but this wouldn't even melt the snow. Not only lacks heat, the blower hardly moves any air. A hair dryer on high setting would do more than this "heat gun". Milwaukee has to realize this thing is practically useless. Try another brand as there isn't a Fuel upgrade like there was for the weak grinder.

Good tool. Would appreciate it the trigger could be mechanically held on. It’s not always convenient to keep a finger on the trigger.

The air flow was weak. I almost immediately after purchase a corded one.

Heated up quickly to soften garden hoses. Looking forward to having this in my arsenal of freeze repair tools.

Works great for heating up water hydrants in the winter

Perfect tool for the jobs I need it for. This is perfect for drying dry wall mud when a job need done fast

Works as advertised. Great spring summer and fall heatgun. Winter not so much. It just doesn’t have the higher temperature needed for very cold weather

Great at draining batteries while it struggles to melt anything.

Great tool. Heats up quickly and evenly. Amazing for heat shrink applications. You get about a half an hour of continuous use with a 5amp hour battery.

Okay for what it is… it’s definitely not for hear shrink tubing or wire terminals. NOT ENOUGH HEAT OR AIR VOLUME to do the job efficiently. By the time you get 2 wire terminals prepared, you will need to change the battery. I own several Milwaukee M18 Tools which do a great job. However, I returned this one to Home Depot. Home Depot was great when processing the return. I was however required to travel 40 miles to my nearest Home Depot Store to return the item!

I was needing a powerful heat gun to remove PEX Fittings. This gun was a perfect balance between weight, size how quickly it heats up. I’m able to use it to get into tight spaces and get the job done quickly. Perfect for what I needed.

Great for on the go! As a traveling tech, and not always access to utilities it’s nice to have something for frozen locks or heat shrink out in the field

I'm sure it would be fine if you were just doing heat shrink or something similar. Maybe putting plastic on your windows for the winter, but that's about all it's good for. It doesn't get hot enough for anything else, and has no heat or fan settings.

its nice and compact but it doesn't heat up enough and a just a weak heat gun.. i wouldn't recommend this one to anyone ..
