I bought 2 of these just over a week ago. One for a hay stall and the other for a donkey stall. In just one week, the results are in the attached photo. After cleaning them out, I tried a "homemade fly attractant". Results were disappointing. I've since purchased the Rescue attractant refills. Working great again!

This brand smoked the other within 1 week. I’ll admit I’m going to do some more tests. Was it the color of the cap or the attractant

This is the best fly trap I've purchased, I live near horses and we have a problem with flies and as you can see this has gotten lots of them. Its full and they kept coming so I purchased another one.

Do these work? These are amazing. Get usually have 2 going at opposite ends of our property. The bags will get completely full. Been using them for years. I think they’ll made them smell “less” terrible. Great product!!

Yes, it stinks. But considering flies are attracted to rancid things, that makes sense. Within a few days it was full of flies. Bought a refill and dumped/refilled and it attracted dozens more.

This is probably the best fly trap I have ever had. The first one I used had an inch thick of dead flies around the circumference. I usually don’t do these reviews, but this fly trap is worth it.

Bought this 2 weeks ago .and the canister is already 3/4 full of flies. THERE IS NO WAY IN THE WORLD I could ever resuse this. I know that's not environmentally friendly...but the smell is obnoxious... I bought it for my balcony, Although there wasn't a big fly problem, it has been a bit of nuisance here and there. Definitely recommend using this for a backyard in which you can hang from a tree far far away, from your home . This definitely works but it's too much an eye sore and stench to deal with.. going to try something else..

This is as simple as it comes. After about 2.5 hours it had collected close to 100 flies outside. While it has a smell to it (attractant), I don't notice it in my yard. Some of the 1-star reviews can probably be chalked up to user error. If it's used indoors it's going to smell and attract more flies indoors because it's drawing them in. Use it away from your entrance/walkway and you will be happy. Highly recommend.

After a long period of rain we had a ton of flies inside our house out of no where. Killing 5’to ten flies a day. I bought this fly canister and the bag to compare. The bag worked quickly, this took a day before it started working. Both products work amazing this is great. Now the not so good is the smell. You will Not want to reuse the canister. It smell Horrible, hence the 500 flies I caught in three weeks. You will want to place this at least 25 feet or more from your house outside. Do Not use inside. Wear rubber gloves when disposing of canister. Do not get this on your skin or clothing, it smells that bad. I would highly recommend and would buy again. The bag works just as well! The pics are after 3 weeks of use. Full with flies.

I have tried multiple times and cannot figure out why, but either there is a design difference in the reusable bottle trap or the refill pack is not working…. I have nothing but praise for the disposable version, have been using it for several years now and it is always packed with flies. I tried to switch to the reusable bottle and it hardly collected a fifth of the amount. Most recently I hang the two side by side and the difference is huge (see photo).

So we have a large kennel that our indoor/outdoor dog goes into part of the day and the Flies in the summertime bug the dog nose and just hangs around the enclosure. in less than a full day from when I set it up it looks like it's caught at least 50 flies you can look at the picture it was super easy to set up too up. At under $10 I thought it was great it has I would say 90 to 95% reduced the flies that are bothering the dog and of course an added benefit that's less flies in the house

Easy to use and very affective. The flies are all over it. Has a mild odor if you’re right by it but nothing too bothersome. Once this gets full I will definitely be buying a refill and reusing this!

Thought it wasn’t working at first, but it takes about 1-2 days to get the smell out in the air…then…they just FILL it!! I originally had it on my porch but couldn’t stand the smell so I ended up moving it to a tree and they still followed.

We purchased this fly trap yesterday and the first hour they was flying around the top of it and couldn’t resist the smell it gives off, checked in and didn’t check,I most definitely recommend you purchase this

This works really fast, in couple of seconds you can see flys going towards it I’m amazed.

Or it’s really not working and ITS course five dollars a bag for refill that’s crazy the whole thing cost nine dollars and change

I have nearly cleared ALL the flies from my yard! The smell is not as bad as other options. I DO NOT recommend cleaning the bottle for re-use INSIDE your home…rinse it out with a hose outside or your home will smell like death for a day or so.

We get a lot of flies in our back yard. I got a couple of these to put on our patio. I thought we would get a few, but was completely amazed at the amount of flies that went to the trap. Literally hundreds within a day. Then quickly realized we would have to move them to the far end of the back yard. These things are like fly crack. WOW.

at first we thought it was a gimmick . but after a couple of days the water and mix started reacting . the fly's started getting attracted to the canaster .been up about a week and the fly's are homing into it. they land on it and go down the spout . from there trap in the jar . we think not sure but think it brings in more as the fly's die in the jar. not sure if the fume of the mix is what kills them . landing in the mix is the killer. there sure is a lot of dead flys in the jar.

At first I thought I got bamboozled but after 2 days this things works like a charm

Hands down, the best flytrap I ever used. In only about 5 weeks this was full! Extremely efficient, non chemical - reasonably priced.

Super easy to put together. There is a really strong pungent odor so wouldn’t recommend for indoor use at alllllll! I put this in my backyard and almost instantly the flies starting going in. Kinda satisfying in a weird way to see all the flies in there lol. 10/10 recommend this if you have a fly problem!!

We had so many flies in our backyard and put this out one day and within an hour it was covered with flies. The con is they tell their fly friends and bring more flies, but pro is it doesn’t matter because they get trapped and they die together. (The photo looks nasty, but it shows how much it works)

This really does work!! The flies are attracted to it and once they go in they cant come out. This is definetly for outdoor use only. It smells like straight trash or garbage thats been sitting around. Thats what attracts the flies. Within a day the jar was full.

Definitely works well in central Florida or your grilling/cooking outside. I definitely recommend this product.

Bought this because another lady was raving about it in the aisle and oh. My. God. I knew I kind of had a fly problem but this was WILD. The first day I went out to it being empty but 46 hours in and in began to fill up fast! After 4 days I had to throw it away because it was full and gross and ran right back to Home Depot to buy another. My tip is keep it away from the house because flies flock to it and it stinks initially

We had flys outside back deck because of berries. Put this outside and this is a little over a week and more than half full! Smells really bad though so make sure don’t put it near where your hanging out. Dogs are also attracted to it so make sure out of reach
